Once again you have made my day. Tealby is yet another one of my most favourite places in the UK. I would live in any of those cottages if I was able too ❤️
I worked in the house next to the ford around 30 years ago when I was a plumber, it is a beautiful village, the house was being renovated by a builder we worked for. Happy memories 👍
I love all your videos of different towns. I hope one day to be able to travel to England and visit one or two of the towns you made videos of. I also love your educational comments and humor.
Thankyou for dharing your walks . I wish we had places like yhis in usa . Talked to a couple at work ., I work in a grocery store in salt lake city utah usa . They loved the food in england and egat you could get . I love the architecture and quit ,quaint feeling . Ps love the natural sounds , and no music .lovely.
Tealby is really beautiful, like a living postcard! You can see how much the people living there love their village. I really enjoyed the walk around there. Thank you 👏👏👏💜
I've seen some beautiful villages in my time but this village tops the lot for me after watching this video. Myself and my wife are going to take a trip here for a walk through the village when the weather gets warmer (if it ever does 🤣🤣). Thank you for sharing yet another great video. 👍
So beautiful indeed. I said wow like 10 times....those cottages....and I agree with you about living right there next to the river, that would be ideal. So peaceful and surrounded by nature and beauty. Thanks for taking us along with you. The dog was super cute!
Well done, really enjoyed this, I have a home 3 miles away but not started exploring as yet, Tealby will be my first destination, the river and the ford, tea rooms, old worldy pub and lovely cottages is a winning formula but also helped by a very photogenic sunny day
A very nice little village, lovely and peaceful, lovely flowers . . . would I live there?? NO ! I'm a townie 😃 need to be near people, cars, shops, theatre, pubs, music 🎶🎵 but it was lovely to take a pleasant walk through, thanks Gimbal, keep em coming 👍💯✔
My favourite walking place. Lovely old scenic churches all around this area. The Kings Head iin my opinion is one of the best places fro a drink in Lincolnshire on a summers day.. Fulbecks is a very pretty place with a good pub as well.
Great video, Bernie was from osgodby, another village a few miles from tealby I live close to market rasen, it's a very well known fact that bernie wrote Saturday nights alright for fighting about the Aston arms pub in Market Rasen market place, any locals that remember what the Saturday nights in rasen were like in decades past can relate to the song😃
I live in North Lincolnshire but more towards Finningly way. Tealby looks sheer bliss must be great to horse ride through this village. The pub looks fantastic. Away from the rat race and noise I must make an effort an visit there sometime. Love the Bridal shop, I'd like a nice little cake shop in this village. It's hard to pick which cottage I like the best... i bet not many properties go up for sale who would want to move !!! No street lamps so no light pollution to spoil the clear starry nights... it gets better. Thanks for sharing your tour with us.
Such a lovely place I remember my farther telling me he would cycle to a large empty house there later on we found out it was tealby Manor sadly demolished in the 60s I think 🤔👍
Thanks Neil ,yes very beautiful village,I live about 40mins away so can visit conveniently when I want, and have done a few times ,and eaten in that restaurant as you did.But you have shown me parts of the village I have not yet seen, thankyou 😄Have you visited Louth yet ? another lovely Lincolnshire market town.
Yes that house by the River will do me too. Big, not dark inside, NO beams, bare brickwalls or low ceilings please. But lots of character though. And a beautiful garden. That red valerian a few houses before looks fantastic.
Was the home of Elton John's lyricist during the 70s and 80s and if has any sense he still lives there . His cottage was called " Piglet-in-the-Wild " where he lived with wife Maxine .
I lived here as a child in the 60s and 70s. I paddled in the beck, went to that school and went to youth club dances at that hall. It’s changed beyond recognition ( even the house I used to live in which was shown briefly). It’s so manicured and beautiful but I can’t imagine there’s much opportunity for some of the kids I grew up to be able to afford to live there. Im probably looking back with nostalgia but it seems too “perfect “ . I’m just getting old, I guess
I've been looking at houses in the area, and if it makes you feel any better, some of the houses in Tealby and the surrounding area are fairly affordable.
Have you thought about visiting the national abouritum war memorial, where the queen used to pay her respects to the fallen soldiers, well they have a British legion , near in a village called alrewas Burton on Trent , A38 previously it was a transport cafe called the tree cafe my Nan owened it in the 50/60
Haveing lived in a small village just outside caistor since 1987 i was forced to buy a flat in grimsby because the house prices are just so inflated in these " lovely Lincolnshire villages " . Its ok if your a rich so and so from away with loads if spare money, there the only people that can afford buy houses in places like tealby .
Ooh . Well it certainly always a sought after spot, not many manual workers on average wage will afford to buy or rent there. Mostly business people and civil servants these days I bet! Of course villages in lincolnshire are now fast becoming the reserve of the wealthier as rents become standardised with Cambridge etc with their higher wages and more buoyant economies. I do speak from experience being a tenant all my life in lincolnshire, and working in a factory near Alford.
They won best kept village or was in Village in bloom one year, can't remember, don't actually care. Can you imagine the little committees and the self appointed busy-bodies that exist to make such a thing possible? The social pressure and polite blackmail applied to those who don't toe the line for the 'greater good.' (Greater Good.) Not to mention the house prices being nearly twice that of near by villages. Every other village within ten miles thinks Tealby is right up it's own ... and they'd be right. TL:DR very pretty, wouldn't want to live there.
This is a part of untouched England....if only everywhere was this nice still.
The birds seem to love it here and so do I. Cheers Gimbal for opening my eyes to the tranquil wonder that is Tealby. Wow.
You're welcome - it's an honour to film these for everyone
The most beautiful village i have ever seen. Thanks for showing it.

Looks ideal. Have you been to the Swan Hotel in Bibury?
