Love these ladies! Just pure talent all around! I have to shout out my favorite... the little dynamo drummer.. Haruna! Her feet just go a hundred miles a minute through the song, amazes me. My favorite song of theirs is Raise Some Hell.. live of course. THank you for reacting to this video.

probably the best metal band around actually. I wouldn´t consider Band Maid as a metal band.
Thanks for your LOVEBITES reaction video. All of their songs are in English, although vocalist Asami does have an accent that may be unfamiliar at first. The majority of their songs have very positive and uplifting lyrics, though challenges & harsh-truths is not an uncommon theme, personal empowerment, dignity, conflict resolution and unity follow. Every song has a solo by each guitarist and nearly all have the harmony-duet that follows. Of the 40+ original songs by LOVEBITES I have heard, all are enjoyable, interesting, powerful, complex and performed 'classically' in that it is played exactly-as-written each performance. These are structured songs, note-for-note & beat-for-beat in numerous performances I have seen from August 2018 to October 2020. Flawless. These are "sophisticated women" veteran professional musicians of the highest skill and unity, I hope you take the time to explore them some more.

All their songs are in 100% English, and are the new wave of Power Metal, their emergence has been glory and joy to our ears, of that Genre. Iron Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Slayer, Helloween and Nightwish all together in a phenomenal barrage of Metal Glory. If you aren't into this new resurgence of Power Thrash speed and classic Metal you may need to steer clear, as they are leading the Wolf Pack to a return to Glory. Woe are those who get in our way...lol. As for her accent a fan gets use to it very quickly, have bought everything they've released and I now understand every word even on a brand new song.
Bravehearted was originally in Japanese as it was written for Destrose, Haruna and Miho's previous band , but they never recorded it. it was recorded in Japanese for the LOVEBITES EP then rerecorded in English for the Awaken from Abyss album

Edge of the World would be a great choice as it shows almost all of the band's talent in one single piece. I highly recommend turning on closed caption for any of their videos that have it, especially for Edge of the World because the lyrics are so beautiful. Once you hear it a few times it becomes far easier to make out the words she is singing. Asami's enunciation has improved with every album.
At the risk of generalising, it seems many Japanese bands are so good live. Band Maid, Wagakki Band, BabyMetal, Lovebites, to name four. "I like the guitar playing".....LMAO (no offense) you have no idea!!!! The most dynamic lead guitar duo playing LIVE today, no one battles, riffs, switches leads, or harmonizes like Midori/Blons/ESP and Miyako/Black/Dean especially LIVE. Founded to bring a more European sound to J/Metal in 2016 by Miho/bass and Haruna/drums (from the great all female Destrose band that dissolved) they took all the glory of 70/80 metal along with the masters (piano, you'll see later) and elevated to a whole new level with their insane talent. Asami/vocals comes from a R&B/Jazz/Soul background but sings in English to keep with the bands aims. First of all nice reaction! About the language barrier, Asami the singer does have a bit of an accent sometimes, but all of their songs are 100% in English, unlike most Japanese bands that mix japanese with bits of english.
Lovebites aim for a more classic style of metal so they decided to sing in English, they are influenced by bands like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Slayer, Metallica etc.
The two guitarists Miyako and Midori are some of the best in the business, this was just a taste of what they can do. The whole band is extremely skilled and at the top of their game!
Lastly, the video was skipping every 10 secs or so, it was a bit distracting, maybe it's intentional for copyright reasons, just thought i'd let you know.
I'll suggest you take a look at "Edge of the World" "Break the Wall" "Addicted" all Live, or their newest MV's "Glory to the World" and "Winds of Transylvania".

Most of the best bands are coming out of Japan right now. Like BAND MAID and Lovebites are just the chip of the iceberg but they are 2 of the best. Also check out Nemophila, Bridear, Aldious, TRiDENT, Gacharic Spin, Unlucky Morpheus, Mary's Blood, Hagane, Fate Gear and.....theres more but thats off the top of my head lol.

that dress is basically a corset with a skirt, and as a guy who's worn corsets at halloween more than once, i can tell you they are the most uncomfortable thing anyone can wear, it's like an all over bear hug and you can't bend over without some considerable effort. also, it will be pulling in on her lungs, and will be changing the way she breathes, so wearing it while performing takes a lot of work
Language barrier? lol... She sings in English. :p But, if you're not used to the accent I suppose it would be hard to understand it.
Sounds like metal is not a focus for you, but if you want to explore more, here is some background:
They were formed from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief metalhead and soul of the band) recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" pocket nuke), and they went and found the two guitarists, Midori and Miyako, who were with other bands, and the whole group found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time. Miho and Miyako compose most of their music. They have only been around for a little over 4 years.
They studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Slayer etc. and they pretty much aced it all. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance is that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and now they’re taking it to another level.
They do everything from soulful power ballads to white-hot insane thrash, and almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two shredders are very different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel. Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The interplay makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. (As another reactor said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band.") Miyako is also a concert-level classical pianist-she only picked up guitar when she was 18.
You'll get lots of suggestions, just one thing: don't bother with Bloodstock footage, the quality is poor. Best to take suggestions with actual links.

a lot of reactors actually do the entire video without pauses. a lot do the breaks but why can the other guys do it without a strike ?
It depends on the label, some (most really) will be very strict and if too much of a song is played in one go in a video it'll get struck with a copyright infringement. Some labels are less strict (or don't pursue as much at least). Whilst some videos you might be able to get away with listening to the whole thing uninterrupted many others won't and the work put into creating the video is wasted, hence many reactors will ensure they're pausing regularly as keeping tabs on all labels and their current policies and adjusting your reaction style accordingly is unfeasible, especially if the channel is just done as a side project/hobby rather than as a career. It's also worth bearing in mind a label may also change it's policy down the line and a video that was up for a while may suddenly get struck if too much of a song is in it in one go if they decide to start cracking down.
Some larger reaction channels (the sort that has a million+ subs) may be able to sort out the legal/ownership issues with a deal/discussion about what will be appropriate with the label in question, but these guys have 43 subscribers so they're not going to be getting any label reps ears anytime soon.

@@thedocofrock1890 I didn't mean to imply that all who do the video without pauses etc have got some sort of deal. Frankly live footage is less likely to get automated copyright strikes as it's audiowave won't exactly match the libraries of music and owners that UA-cam uses to automatically detect if copyrighted material is used. Of course there's also manual copyright striking and no amount of pausing will save you from that if someone decides to claim it. But my key point is that reactors trying to navigate the confusing web of copyright on UA-cam tend to gravitate towards using pauses a lot just because they find that their videos don't get instantly blocked by algorithms (at least not as much). Are there some who manage to get videos through without pauses? Sure, depending on what it is they're reacting to (or if they've messed with the audio of what they're reacting to to throw off detection algos), but for most reactors they just do whatever seems to give them successful results for their work most often with the least amount of work - i.e. using pauses.
