wonderful house. if you would move the camera a little slower, we could see the things much better.

I agree. I'm leaning towards Dry Stacked, filled, Concrete Blocks (24" thick walls); only because it would be much easier for the Solo Builder, over Earthbags.

That would work. Using dirt is cheaper, of course. And the earthbag method isnt as forgiving as ramming whatever you can find into a tire. It must be screened and have the proper mix of sand and clay or it will never hold without the benefit of a tire to hold it. Just be sure to insulate really well because whether you use cement or dirt it is very dense- thermal wrap is extreamly important!

it is beautiful... but all that moisture will invite mold issues, damage electronics.. it would make more sense to seperate the greehouse from the house as far as food production goes and go with an aquaponics system (research: Murray Halliam). it isn't as pretty, but the earlier concepts for the cisterns were open air waterfalls inside the house. they moved away from for many of the same reasons. manly because moss would quickly overtake the system.

I have looked into it. And trust me, I am right. A separate structure that uses the same thermal wrapped earthrammed and convection tube cooled greenhouse works better. Especially if you implement an IBC, or earthbag aquaponics system (earthbag work better because they keep the water cooler)

The ventilation systems that are built in to the structure take care of this issue...look into it

why haven't you guys thought about using induction cook tops? precise temp control and very efficient in energy usage, cut out the natural gas :)

UA-cam should be a place where you can do what ever you like, so if you want to rais the bar a bit than okay, im excited to see your videos but if you arent a professional and want to show the world something then its fine too i wouldn't have dont it better since i dont know much about filming.. greetings

nice to see a video where we can just see what's there without all the narrative from the videographer...

Thanks for filming this, really interesting! That said, I'm with Aridelles, please in the future consider it takes a little time for one's eye to focus on what you're showing. It's a very hard video to watch when you're jumping around so much!

People should welcome a critical comment now and again. You tube should be a place to raise the bar. There is enough crap videos on You Tube. There doesn't need to be any more. This guy just races around the house filling up the camera with blurred details arranged in scatterbrain fashion. I have had my fill of the hippie crowd. They 'are' children. How long can you address people as 'dude' and 'bro' before you completely mature? A lot never figure it out.

It is youtube. A place where anybody and everybody can upload videos of themselves doing... anything they want. And you can come onto other peoples channel and check it out. Dude doesn't need to ''practice'' anything before being on youtube. It's not like you or anybody else pays him to produce works of art. He's sharing his experience with you and everybody else in the world, and you insult him. Not cool bro, not cool.

Pity about the child like filming.Practice before being on UA-cam ? But try better next time.. Great place to live anyway...
