I have been struggling with trying to reconnect my wifi adapter for almost 24 hours and I am not financially ready to get another laptop. This video is a bank-saver and lifesaver. The command prompt worked like magic!! Thank you for this awesome video.
I found this video on my phone after my laptop internet stopped working. All that had changed is that I had unplugged it to set it aside while I did some vacuuming. I followed your steps and unfortunately after several restarts, the problem remained. As a last resort before taking it back to where I had purchased to follow the warranty process, I unplugged the charger and powered off the laptop (as opposed to just restarting it). When I turned it on again with the charger plugged back in, it worked. So, to anyone with an ASUS laptop who may have faced this issue and who have not solved it yet, try unplugging and powering off completely as opposed to just restarting. Good luck and God bless.

Thanks man, it worked after the last step. For those who still face the issue after the last step, you must have an internet connection for your device to be able to reinstall all the drivers, so try to connect with an ethernet cable and follow the steps.

Thank you ! Last option did it, even if nothing else here seemed to. Was losing my mind. It also fixed my restarting issue. (funny how that seems to be so common) Basically I would click restart and it would shut down, but it would hang at the last section where the screen is off and key lights are off, but power light still on, and never do anything. Had to hold power button to do get it to turn off. The last CMD prompt actually made it so it restarted completely cleanly, even though the prior ones or restarts before that (at least like 6) would all fail in the same spot.
@@allanmong1917 Nope I never could get it to work. I just grabbed my ethernet cord and plugged it into my laptop and into my wifi box and it gave me wifi. Sometimes restarting my laptop or resetting the network helps but it's rare. I just wait until it fixes itself most of the time now

So I tried all the steps, and it still didn't work. It did change something, however. It went from not showing the wifi icon at all to showing the airplane mode icon, regardless of whether or not the airplane mode setting was on. Not really sure what else to do other than replace the wifi card, but I really would rather not do that

I've tired all of these solutions and others, none have worked. At the same time, I appear to no longer have a wifi adapter on my computer, and my windows defender firewall program cannot run or be updated (I got a notification about this right before my internet stopped working). U should update your windows with usb tethering, if didn't happen again and still broken, buy a new wifi card for ur pc
