South Farmingdale House Fire Midwood Avenue 10/22/23

At approximately 09:40 hours on Sunday, October 22nd, 2023, the South Farmingdale Fire Department and a dual-response engine from the Village of Farmingdale Fire Department were alerted for a house fire on Midwood Avenue off of Juniper Street. Upon arrival of crews, they encountered a heavy smoke condition. Engine 921’s crew along with Engine 972’s crew stretched one line into operation. The fire located in the oven was quickly knocked down and contained; there were no reported injuries. Mutual aid to the scene consisted of Farmingdale for an Engine [921], and North Massapequa for a F.A.S.T [661]. Units operated under the command of the Chief of The South Farmingdale Fire Department, Michael Mackie [9701].
