BDK gris charnel extrait is the best release of last year especially for men. To me the original version leans more feminine. Seriously an amazing date night fragrance!

A lil too expensive for me at the moment. I'm 17 and bought Ultramale, CDMI, Red Tobacco and Encre Noire A L'Extreme. What would you recommend me on buying next?

Great alternatives! Not sure that Herod has similar vibe as DHI though. Since you mentioned that Gris Charnel is the best by BDK, please try Tabac Rose by the same house. It’s 10/10.
Tried a sample of Initio Oud for greatness and absolutely loving it!! Not sure if it is a summer or winter fragrance but I'm enjoying it. Still new to the perfume world. Thank you Omar for a great channel. Loving your vids.

I have to say LNDLH actually has pretty good performance on me, easy 12h+ (until washed off tbh) so even tho people complain, that will always depend a lot on skin chemistry. For example I have “beast mode” that last less time for me, sauvage elixir, naxos, cdnim le etc. That said, from a person that loves LNDLH (my signature/ favourite scent) gris charnel extrait is really a masterpiece and a love at first sniff for me.

I love all ATH fragrances!! Looking forward to getting the new formulations. Current favorites are onyx extreme, hard candy and for warmer months blood orange!

I agree about Sauvage Elixir being too strong. I bought a bottle but even just one spray ends up giving me a headache.
i used to wear it all the time but I guess I was giving one of my coworkers migraines and after 1 month of bliss, he finally complained and I couldn't wear it anymore
Fairly novel direction here and well done. I have OFG and Sauvage Elixir and your comparison there is spot on. Suspecting the others are equally compelling. Will have to try Hawas soon.

I feel like my buys have the Omar stamp of approval. I have 5 of these.
I think a fragrance 8 years old might be a bit dodgy. Guys if you like Virgin Island Water try tropical nights by Alexandria fragrances. It has a really nice coconut lime and rum sort of smell. It also lasts a solid 7 hours on my skin.
Great video I can’t wait for summertime, so I could wear rasasi hawas again. I be wearing it during the winter but I know it’s better in the warmer weather. i’m a be excited when the warm weather is back.

This has been one of your most helpful videos. I'm still new to fragrances and careful about the ones I select. I only have three so far but I have heard La Nuit de L'Homme hyped over and over again. I really like the idea of a cardamom scent so that alternative sounds great. I am thinking of bdk gris charnel or Xerjoff Starlight.
Thank you friend, I’m glad it has helped! La Nuit alternatives I recommend are La Nuit Bleu Electrique, Gris Charnel or Bond No 9 Lafayette Street. It’s not necessarily that they share similar notes but a similar style. I don’t think Starlight is comparable to la Nuit, it’s a lot more ‘Intense’. Hope this helps!

I disagree with the Dior Homme Intense and Herod. I'm a perfect example of someone who hates dior homme intense, but loves herod and I think there are a lot more people like me😅
I looooove the idea of the video ive been wanting something like this for a long time , please do more fragrances with this , I like azzaro's wanted by night but the performance is weak unfortunately , can u recommend somethinf along the same scent with better performance ?

For someone coming from Dior home intense, PDM Pegasus is a much better recommendation than Herod
Middle eastern frags are hard to get off your skin. I showered after testing several dupes & hawas yesterday and I still smelled like perfume. I used wet wipes to rub em off and still didn't do the trick

Is Oud for Greatness a good choice for someone who hasn't tried oud before? I would like a first oud fragrance that is easy to wear.
Yes I bought oud wood as my first oud fragrance and then oud for greatness. I can 100% recommend oud for greatness as your first oud, it doesn’t contain a lot of oud but it’s present and not a barn yard type oud either it is a fantastic mass pleasing yet very unique fragrance
Currently I own Y EDP, Dylan blue, CDNIM, Boss bottled night, Invictus, lattafa qaa'ed, cremo black spice and vanilla, fierce, the one edp, asad, Layton, and 40 knots is on the way... Where should I go next?
That’s part of the journey my friend. You go wherever the scents take you. Try samples from twistedlily or scent split to explore without making full commitments to a 100ml

I’m a big fan of La Nuit de L’Homme (including Bleu Electrique) but I have trouble with Gris Charnel. It’s a beautiful smelling scent, but I think it’s a bridge too far in the feminine direction for me.
The extract version smells much more masculine IMO than the original

I think Beach Hut Man is a nice step up from Sauvage Elixer! The dry down of Beach Hut really reminds me of Sauvage and is also beast mode!

Elixir is a spicier and heavier version of sauvage for night times and colder weathers.. Beach Hut Man is primarily a vetiver scent. Very green (new cut grass smell with mint). They are completely different.

Herod is badly reformulated please don’t get it. Every batch after 2021 has awful performance, literally everyone I know has the same issue. PDM have reformulated and watered down Layton & Herod. Herod literally lasts 3 hours or less, pathetic what PDM have done to their goated scents

This is a fact. I have a 2021 batch from Jomashop. I thought it was fake due to the terrible performance, but it turns out jomashop is an official PDM retailer. Newer batches are now a skin scent that disappears almost immediately.

How are you recommending Harod if you don't enjoy them? I feel like most of these recommendations are based on assumptions. Fragrance is really subjective and not everyone will enjoy the same thing in reference to another fragrance.

@@SchoolOfScent understood. But if I appreciate a fragrance, I would use it and then I would make my experience with the fragrance as the foundation of my recommendation. I don't like to assume people would like it if I don't enjoy it while interpreting reactions from surrounding people.
Gris charnel smells nothing like YSL La nuit de l'homme... Smells maybe 10%, but 100% feminine

For the prices I’ve paid, there’s no such thing as a fragrance lasting to long. That’s silly.
