    It js very difficult to diffrentiate between Central zone glands, transition zone and peripheral zone glands.

    @j85onche yes the concentric hard bodies are corpora amylacea

    It's a hematoxylin and eosin stain.. that's what gives the characteristic staining color. There are also other staining methods in histology, which show other cell properties more dominantly, but this is the most used one.

    hmmm how about corpora amylacea? are they the defining feature in idenfitying the prostate?

    Does anyone have any tips on how to properly distinguish breast vs prostate histology? I'm a beginner here and I'm able to identify most organs but I seem to confuse breast and prostate a lot... depending on the images - some images they really look alike.

      This might sound stupid simple but maybe taking Into account the high adipocite number in mammary glands would be an easy pick
