- Hello EarthQuakers,
Welcome to the new "EarthQuaker Sessions" UA-cam Channel. Here you'll find all your favorite EQD Sessions and perhaps a few you may have missed. Enjoy this special treat from our awesome friends and collaborators in Boris, who are celebrating their 30th Anniversary in 2022!
"Loveless" is from the trio's heavy-as-heck 2020 album "NO." For fans of the Japanese heavy experimental legends, this session should give you the full Boris injection you need to get through your day. There's headbang-inducing speedy punk-metal riffage and a satisfying doom crawl. Drummer Atsuo commands the microphone with his clean(ish) vocals, while double guitar/bass master Takeshi provides the very unclean vocals and big bottom end while guest drummer Muchio provides the rhythmic propusion. And, of course, six-string sorceress Wata wields her Black LP custom, fueled by her Hizumitas Fuzz Sustainar flinging riffs and leads around the room to ensure it's all frickin' epic. This EQD session is the seven-minute sonic summation of the trio's credo: BorisHeavyRocks.

I'm 67 years old - been listening to music for as long as I can remember - Boris are my favourite band ever and Wata is a goddess!
Was it you I met on Saturday in Settle?
You recommended I check out Twilight Sad.
The way Wata comes howling in like a banshee over the breakdown gives me chills every time
Dedicated to each and every rock band that has watered down with age - check Boris and be rejuvenated! What a wonderfull thunderous wall of organized mayhem! And Wata's mastery of feeback is insane.
I love how Atsuo has gone from "YEEEEAH!!!" to main vocals.
He was the original frontman back 1992. I'm hoping we get him as the frontman in this tour.
Technically atsuo was their singer when they first began
@@c.f.pedraza4057 he has been, he's good with the crowd too
@4:27 Woo! Icy lead to a glacial riff.
Even as a drummer, Atsuo had the frontman energy, so it's nice to see him back at it.
So Boris can play sludge semi-thrash metal??? 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Wata. GOOD GOD!
Tone sorceress...
Boris: the soundtrack of the thundering Universe....so proud to have been a fan for over two decades🤘
2:47 it get SO HEAVY here. Fucking awesome
OH. MY. GOD!!!!!!!!!!
I’ve never been so happily scared out of my life!
They are the heaviest, most incredible and filthy - in the Best possible way - band I have ever heard. And I normally steer away from filthy-heavy, but make no mistake about it. Boris is Best! And not filth.
I Love This Band!!!!! 🎶🎶🌻🌈🌅🎶🎶🧡🌷🦻😶😬🥶🤯🌄☮️
it makes the heart beat a little faster
@@EarthQuakerSessions Simultaneously, comforting, as well. 😊 Dig it! 🎶🎶🌻🧡🌈🌅🎶🎶
This triggers my tinnitus even with the volume set on 1. Massive.
They sound absolutely amazing here. Takeshi's tone in particular is incredible.
All hail Wata!
I just got to see them a little over a week ago in Portland. Mind-blowing set! Sonically powerful beyond words and really engaging stage presence...
Heavy rocks
Seems like everyone found the perfect fit and space in the band. After all these years they are still evolving and getting better. F@€#ing siiiick !!!
Really cool to see Atsuo embrace the frontman role, absolutely killed it. Best damn band around, can't wait for the new HEAVY ROCKS.
😈
Boris is the GOAT.
🐐
Oh god hell YES!!!
love it so much
Outstanding
I love that band!!!!!!!!!!
Wicked wonderful
Goddamn.
FUCK YEAH😀
who is on drums?
his name’s Muchio, i assume he’s a friend of the band who helps perform songs from NO live since Atsuo sings a lot of them, and probably wanted to focus on singing instead of singing AND drumming at the same time. That would’ve been pretty rough. (Also, as other comments have stated, Atsuo was the original singer when they had a dude named Nagata as the drummer, so maybe it’s just easier for him to sing like this)
