Well when she said that she was scared she was gonna like the new look prior to the makeover, I knew that this was a sign that her goth look is probably forced or something she’s wanting to slowly grow out of. People go through phases sometimes and she might be ready to go to the next phase. It’s probably hard to when you’ve been known for a certain look for a while. Or the new look may remind her too much of the “normies” who bullied her in school and this goth look is a defense mechanism

I do this personally, I wear gothic stuff when going out to pubs and stuff, casual grunge every day and at home, super smart and polished at work, and kinda an allsaints vibe for going to events like dressed up sleep beautiful but a bit grungy

Absolutely! She could throw a "meet me halfway" look now and them if she feels like It. Keep her clothes, her color palette, and try different make up and hairstyle. Her make up skills are amazing anyway. She Will look gorgeous as long she feels confident and still like herself.

You should encourage her to try this look out in public for a long weekend away from jealous friends. If she went places where people responded positively to her instead of saying it's violent she might reconsider. And truth be told, her friends don't look much different than she does in the transformation. They aren't nearly as gothic-looking as she was. Strange reaction from them being that they would be more accepted in their look than she was in her old look. The only thing that gives them more of an edgy look is their hair colors. Their dress code is little unique, but nothing to scoff at. Her dresscode was VERY edgy. The nerve of them.

I like that her new look is balanced out with her existing tattoos; which is a part of her personality. It goes to show one can still look glamorous AND rock their tattoos at the same time.

I love her hair(the colour is gorgeous) and style before but the makeup from the after look was really nice and showed off her beautiful face. I think parts from the two make up looks could be taken to create a lighter Goth makeup that works better for her face and that doesn’t hide her natural beauty. ✌️❤️

If she had looked like and they hadn't met her already - then they wouldn't be friends. They would've assumed she listened to Katy Perry, etc, other differences - nothing wrong with that, but it's just not goth stuff (differences beyond the makeup). They would've assumed they had nothing in common. I think their friendship is beyond that now and if she decided to go Barbie, they'd support her. When we first started dating in high school, my ex husband was a metal head, but not a Harley biker type. I hated motorcycles. If I hadn't known him and met him after he became a biker, we never would've dated and wed. But because I already knew him and loved him, I supported his decision to buy a bike, even though I wasn't so fond of them. I saw how much it meant to him. He totally got into biker stuff. We're still very good friends after the divorce and he's a nice guy. There were numerous reasons for the divorce - but just owning a bike etc wasn't one of them.
