I am a "black" person in Australia. For the last four months I've been suspended from my job and undergoing investigation because somebody made a complaint that I made racist comments about my own race by shortening the official name of my own race! It would be funny but I might lose my job over it. Like everyone else I laughed and cried at this a little bit.

You are so right! And that is exactly why "wokes" complain so vehemently against comedic freedom and stand-up comedians like Dave Chappelle and Ricky Gervais! Comedy has been used for decades to satirize political and social issues, but historically the comedians were mostly leftists!
Comedy could very well be the greatest tool we have to push back against woke fascism, so they are going to attack it as much as they can. It exposes them & how ridiculous they are. It's probably the best way to make normal people feel good again! When I saw Chappelle and laughed so hard, I realized I had forgotten what it was like for people to be unafraid to make a joke and how much I missed uncensored comedy.

We can all agree at this point that it's presented as a Chinese-American dish whether it was in fact created by a Chinese-American or not. If you read some of Lincoln’s quotes he was a racist. He believed slavery was wrong, but still thought whites were superior, and was against interracial marriage because he didn’t want the bloodlines mixed. He wanted to deport as many blacks as he could. Freeing the enslaved black people was great, but really the main thing Lincoln was concerned with was maintaining the Union. The rest of everything in this video was spot on though.
It's true that at the beginning of his political career he bought into the widely believed narrative of white supremacy. However, his views changed dramatically over the course of his life, and by 1864 he was very much a believer in black equality. Especially after interacting personally with black people like Frederick Douglass. It's almost impossible for a Republican of that era to be a racist when the entire platform of the Republican party was anti-slavery. That was the whole reason the South seceded from the Union simply because a Republican was elected President. Also, many of the quotes used to "prove" Lincoln was racist are from times when he wasn't necessarily speaking his true beliefs. Either because he was speaking pragmatically about whites and blacks living together in a nation full of white supremacy, or he was talking in front of an audience full of white supremacists when he was trying to either get elected or keep the South from seceding. It's quite clear from private conversations, comments made by blacks who closely interacted with him, his diaries and correspondence, and the policies he pursued that Lincoln was not a racist, especially according to the standards of his time.
