    I burnt everything with 35mm Prop, i kept the prop on and added a 120A Seaking esc and a Goolrc 2968 3400kv brushless motor and its perfect, fast handles great..

    As with ALL Things High Performance one tends to find the weakest link. But the good news is that part can be replaced with a stronger one.👍👍

    Nice video, can u suggest a more realistic prop , I herd a 36 pitch is as big as u should go without overheating stock stuff, wondering what diameter and where to get it , thanks

    your cool! Question... is the proboat shockwave better?

  • @chrisdemeule5490

    Actually just upgraded to 35mm brass .. 1.5mm pitch I believe. Def ran up the motor temp at full throttle and ran the battery down faster. Only using 2200mah so instead of an 8-9 min run it was somewhere around 7. Not a super hard run so if you usually run 75%+ throttle constantly maybe 5min. Overall I felt like there was def an increase in acceleration... not sure about top speed as I haven't ran a gps test yet. Also there's more prop pull to the right at higher throttle but that's to be expected. I feel 35mm is a good size for this boat so as not to fry your internals and have some noticeable gains.

      Watch your ESC temperature it will start smoking on brass CNC alloy seems to be the best for the cheap ESC in the boat

    • @chrisdemeule5490
      @chrisdemeule5490 6 років тому

      Okay thanks for the advice I'll be careful. What would you suggest for a good replacement esc? I've heard a lot of people saying to just junk the stock unit point blank lol.

    What part number is that prop? Bought a 2 blade from Amazon and while it increases acceleration. It's very unstable at top speed.

    • @IFixShet
      @IFixShet  4 роки тому

      There is no part number for this the company that produced this prop does not make it any more unfortunately. This was a custom prop offered on eBay for the Ft 11 it had a two-year running span by the company and then they went out of business

    Not good to go to much bigger and the pitch has a lot to do with it and how many blades... you may over heat the electronics and batteries could run hotter and may burn up... you should start with a prop the same size as stock and then go maybe maybe a hair more pitch or the same size and pitch and maybe 1- 2 mm larger to gain some more speed... that prop is way to big I would not run it.

    • @IFixShet
      @IFixShet  6 років тому

      Shen RC we're actually counting on the fact that it might burn it up. If it does the next installation will be a 60 amp ESC setup. If it doesn't burn it up then it's going to be awesome I have seen other people running 36mm props on theirs with no issues so will find out.

    • @IFixShet
      @IFixShet  6 років тому

      Shen RC I'm going to make two passes with it tomorrow and then pull the lid off and see how hot things are getting

    • @ShenRC
      @ShenRC 6 років тому +1

      Hi yes you may burn the ESC puff your batteries and burn out the motor...just because others are running 36mm props means nothing are they 3 blade? what was the pitch on there 36mm props? you can use a bigger prop and use one with less pitch than the stock one and it should work but when you use a larger prop and if it has more pitch to the blades it is way harder to turn under water and needs better motors and everything else.... my friend you need to go on this board and you can ask and learn a lot about RC boating forums.offshoreelectrics.com/forum.php I made many fast RC boats and used many types of props carbon fiber steel aluminum beryllium and know about RC boats... you cant just start out popping on a huge prop and running it you need to start out small and work your way up and record temps of all components and speed if possible and find the best size prop that will make your boat faster and still run cool enough so you dont mess it all up.

      Shen RC im bringing my Temperature Laser gun tomorrow to see how hot we are getting with 2 passes. Just having some fun bother. They warned me to do speed busrting with this setup instead of full throttle entire runs. I love the challange

    You dont need to grease the shaft only the bearing on each end since the shaft doesn't touch the tube around it.It rides on those bearings on each end.

    • @IFixShet
      @IFixShet  5 років тому +1

      Unless you live in Florida where we have salt water and anybody that runs RC boats here that are shaft driven knows that you should always Grease the shaft though it doesn't make contact with the actual tube the grease inside helps keep saltwater out and makes removing the prop shaft when the time comes much easier.

      @@IFixShet Thats odd someone just happens to have a problem getting their shaft out after you reply to my comment that I said a year ago. Their problem happens 3 hours after your reply to me then you reply to them in 2 hours.Come on thats funny. I put electrical tape around the top and with the grease on the end I never get a drop of water in it.Besides the salt water that gets on it would only lock up the end where the bering is, again because thats the only place the two medals come in contact.

    • @3460usmc
      @3460usmc 5 років тому +1

      @@3460usmc Mike I don't think you understand how UA-cam notifications work I got one because for some random Reason UA-cam decided after a year to let me know that people have been commenting on this video so I answered him and then I tried to do the courtesy of going through an answering people that commented whether it was a year later or not I still tried to answer some of them before moving on that's just how I work and by the way I have taken the boat out and enough salt water to know that by putting Marine waterproof grease on the shaft it makes removing it very easily after running it in salt water if I don't grease it it makes it almost impossible and it will shred the bearings trying to pull the shaft out and rip them to Pieces so trust me on this my friend the grease helps if you're in saltwater even if you're not it still helps with removing the shaft especially if it sat for a while

    you need to balance and sharpen that prop. unbalanced props will chew threw bearings.
