My first Scripture as a newly born again woman back in the late 80’s was given me by GOD via the YWAM team from the East of Australia. One young man said to the little group gathered, “ Pull out one Scripture verse from this box of written Scriptures, trusting GOD to speak to you.” Mine was unforgettable all these years. It was John 12:24. “ Truly, truly I say to you, UNLESS a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies it bears much fruit.” JESUS. And of course V. 25 and 26 are paramount following. The words immortalised in print from Jim Elliot’s diary must speak GOD’s heart for all who sincerely want to die to self. “ He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep, to gain what he cannot lose!” His death along with his 4 other companions by Auca Indians in Ecuador brought forth great awakenings and salvations! A martyr’s reward awaits them all in glory. BLESS YOU JESUS! “For it is not by might nor by power, but BY MY SPIRIT, says the LORD.” Zechariah 4:6. It is not by military nor human strength nor man’s cleverness of mind as the world sees it. No, it comes from separation to GOD and leaning on the power and Spirit of GOD to achieve from His grace and mercy what He enables - His steadfast sureness in impossible situations. My dear friends I am hearing from the LORD, “ …You must be fully persuaded that what he had promised, he was able also to perform.” Roman’s 4:21. In JESUS Name, Amen AMEN.
