The risk of root rot is very high in terrariums, even with charcoal. They're really cute but probably better as a temporary arrangement. Succulents NEED DRAINAGE.
They'll be fine for a few months, and then the melting begins. Just be aware and water sparingly.

I’m plus the humidity had a high chance of straight up rotting the plant. Terrariums are a TERRIBLE choice for beginners and be very difficult to keep alive even for experienced succulent keepers.

@@edenisok894 oh my, I have three and they're all more than 8 months
I'm worried now 😢😢😢 (at the beginning I had some issues but thankfully they were lenient to me)

What's the name of the green succulent behind your terrarium at the beginning? I have one and it's been quite a challenge 😅 at this point I'm just hoping it won't die
Btw, is it true then that we shouldn't use glass for our succulents? I have several terrariums and glass containers and they've been fine for months, but it worries me now if I have to change them or what 😢

Hi, thank you for your comment. It's true that glass is not the best material for plants because of its fragileness and lack of drainage hole, however, we normally use it for DIY and decoration. It's ok if you still want to use glass pots, just make sure you keep eyes on your plants carefully and have a suitable care guide. By the way, did you mention this succulent which is behind the terrarium? succulentsbox.com/products/baby-toes-fenestraria

You could literally just do a moss or anything NOT a succulent that hates humidity and needs draining.

    Not a terrarium.

The video said succulent soil mix. Always use a cactus or succulent soil. Plain soil retains to much moisture.

@@aida087 We use the already mixed soil for succulents and then add some perlite to help the soil more porous 😉
