Way ahead:- 1) Need multi layer approach, starting from family itself where girls and boys are treated equally. 2) Need to make syllabus"Gender Sensetive" 3) Need to give equality in socio-economic and political arena. 4) Starting from primary level to PG level, education should be affordable and skill oriented. 5) Reservation of Tier3 government (i.e.PRI) should also implemented at state and central level. 6) Labour force participation should be increased with proper implementation of Vishaka guidelines. 7) GDP should include "caring economy" into basket.
Way forward... 1) Nurture values in our children from early stages about equality and respect for girls. 2) Change the mindset of families about the girls by social campaign. 3) Government should take positive measures to support the women. 4) Give the reservation women in government jobs until they come par with men without compromising efficiency 5) Take the help of religious institutions to spread awareness about the rights and higher place that every religion gives to women. Like Sakti in Hinduism, Mary in Christianity etc.
@@kottevenkatesh5545 so what are the ways to eradicate discrimination? I mean he clearly pointed out that by giving reservation to women they will get the recognition they want and as far as your discrimination point is concerned it is already said in the 1 and 2 point of bharat’s statement
Thanks ma'am there so many people in our surrounding itself saying you are girls go and do this go and do that , I will let you marry soon . even some used to say to there daughters that it's too much and so much money is getting wasted on you also saying again and again you are just a burden / bother . I always wanted a son but not daughter so so things.... I am lucky that I have a parents who supports me but many are facing these problems So actually after watching this it's inspiring to see women's like you IAS officer , Entrepreneur and Former Chairperson, NCW . It actually motivates me to do great in my life and surely believe others will too get inspired by you.
Thanks Frank and panelists for wonderful suggestions on a critical and must addressing issue. Five major pillars of a good Institution and a quality education: 1. Infrastructure: Whether it is the government or the management whichever is there. 2. Human Resource: Recruitment, Appointment, Promotion and nurturing the talent. 3. Governance: Kind of leadership given to these Institution. 4. Challenges in becoming a knowledge hub: · One of the other major challenges is that millions of students want to get in to higher educational Institution portals but because of the infrastructure limitation the University cannot admit all of them. · In many developed countries such as South Korea or Germany, Vocational training and education are given top priority, unfortunately in India, many people think that anybody who does vocational training is a kind of second-class person. · Introduction of quality towards excellence is the major challenge because still now we have expanded and there are more than 1000 Universities and more than 50,000 colleges and as many Institutions. · Bringing industry in to the research system is a major challenge. In USA or in the western countries, mostly the research units are funded by private sector.
One of the major problem is that most women silently accept the stereotypical thoughts of the society and perform the roles that are fixed for them by the society without raising any questions..i hv seen many educated girls taking dowry from their parents for her in laws without any guilt
