Hi, Good information there. What if I'm using a random switch which is not from Siemens? How do i add it in TIA portal as it won't be abailable in the TIA devices?
From my understanding, you don't need to add switches in the project topology unless you are using IRT or redundant ring topology. I have no clue why he is configuring the topology here. I have done several projects with ET200sp and a switch without configuring the switch in the project topology.
To answer your question about adding third party switches. The switch must be designed to be used as a profinet device. You can get the gsdml file by using a web browser and typing in the IP address of the switch while connected to the switches network. Once you have downloaded that gsdml file you can update your hardware catalog with that new hardware. Again there is no need to add switch in project unless you are using it as a redundant ring topology or using IRT
the only problem in your videos is, you speak very (unnecessarily) fast at the key moments, in your presentations, which makes it hard to understand the whole process, just go slower please 🙏
great info..solid gold.. Please slow down for level 0 technical hard to follow. take a breath

You are great man 👏🏻👏🏻
❤very nice
Why are you configuring the topology without a redundant ring network or IRT. There is no need for it to be configured and put into project.
