Groeschel stepped down from his TV ministry shortly thereafter, and said, essentially, forgive me, I'm an old man, and therefore sometimes say stupid things.
@kadene2 Agreed on that, i live in Sweden and if someone here comes up to you and tells you "hey i believe in everything the Bible says, and if you dont then you are going to hell" people just think thats a very weird man and a weird way of thinking in 2011.
Don't snicker at state religion. It has made most of Europe atheist. Force religion on people and they shun it; remove it from them and they seek it, e.g. in communist Cuba, Catholicism is pervasive.
