truly awesome. can someone please provide me some background about this ? Did they do this, like for the first time altogether out in the open ? are they from a school somehow. because i love to watch them during this number, sometimes they seem unsure, if a solo will work and they are all so charming.

About the Akita Wind Orchestra
Founded in 1975 as the Akita Wind Orchestra Enthusiasts Club, the orchestra changed its name to the Akita Wind Orchestra in 1979. It has about 65 members. Since 1998, Masato Sato has been the musical director, and the orchestra works with the permanent conductor Fuminari Endo to create music. The orchestra participates in wind orchestra competitions every year, and has participated in the national competition 18 times, winning four gold prizes, 12 silver prizes, and two bronze prizes. The orchestra has released two CDs of session recordings and one CD of live recordings. The orchestra won the Kiuchi Music Award in 1982 and the Akita City Cultural Encouragement Award in 2000.
Overview
Number of members: Approximately 65
Practice locations: E-paru, Nampia, Kawabelia in Akita City
Practice days: Twice a week (Tuesdays 18:00-21:00, Saturdays 17:00-21:00)
Fee: 3,000 yen for working adults, 2,000 yen for students (no high school students or younger allowed to join)
Other fees: Travel and participation fees for tournaments, etc., individual fees for regular concerts
Activities: Regular concerts (once a year), participation in wind orchestra competitions and ensemble contests, local events, etc.
