Sorry but I can't just ignore both of the heaven one way alternatives you provided at 0:50. The point of the regular heaven smoke is so that it adds pressure on the heaven jump up box. Both of the one ways you suggested at heaven are worthless as the heaven players can still fight site past the one ways.
8:20 Woohoojin literally showed this alternate spam spot in one of his vod reviews of someone else and told the guy he can't play close or he'll just get traded, so idk why he's not actually using it
I think it's just one of those things where he knows best but can't do it in practice with all the stuff you need to process in game, I always make mistakes and wonder how the hell I was stupid enough to do that in this game 😂
@@Joshuaw10 True, to do it in practice you need to practice. That's why pros VOD review. Any good player can point out mistakes but teaching is another story which is what woohoojin is good at.
He probably needs way more reps and focused practice tbh i mean im not all that high elo but sometimes i make mistakes even though i know what the correct play should have been.
Glad you keep doing his reviews. For what I've seen, he tries to play perfect pro-play style valorant only, theres no adapting to his teammates or enemies and no thinking outside the box. One would think he'd have an easy time on his main role in ascendant lobbies. Very interesting!
I always thought the point of the heaven smoke on ascent A is so they can't clear the site bit by bit as easily, they have to commit to basically revealing themself to site more heavily than is ideal.
Could you maybe do a video analyzing one of his coaching videos? It always seemed to me that his coaching was good, but now seeing him make obviously bad plays makes me question that. I'd love to know if that is just something that he does in his own games or if his advice that he gives to other people is also subpar
@@Slayerkeylate but maybe his coaching of a lower and higher elo player? i'm thinking a gold and a immortal+ and you tell if either one had solid advice
how is the flush smoke on a heaven not good? the point of that smoke is so when you peek, you have to peek multiple angles which potientially means multiple people. w/o a smoke there you can use proper clearing and just clear every angle 1 by 1, if you dont have a flash to come out of that smoke you are cooked.
im guessing because when ur pushing the multiple angles u have to clear is useless if defenders already are on site so the one way provides more value at the initial push from main? i got nothing to back m y shit up as a gold
i genuely still thinks that the first smoke Ascent haven A is better because putting it closer to site give the defender more leeway to play inside the smoke unseen while (as a sova main) scan site and wallbang anything i'd see on site idk maybe both are fine and very team composition dependant
@@SlayerkeyI was thinking he should try radiant on his main role, but currently I think he has lost touch with it soo much that he now only remembers the fundamentals (that would get him to diamond) but forgot the stuff that would be 1 trick energy, He plays omen like he plays a fill smoker now.
This was a weird game for him honestly. You should review some of his mroe recent games as Viper. He'd hover KJ so someone would pick a dome smoke then he'd go Viper so they could have double smoke comps XD
Are we sure this is not Woohoojin trollling us and this is his alt youtube account and when he actually hits radiant he reveals this was his plan all along
the heaven smoke is preference and playstyle oriented imo, since without the smoke, the heaven defender can individually clear each angle he wants but with the smoke he has to get exposed to all of the same angles at the same time (given the smoke is well placed), for example playing in front of dice is way better with the smoke since the heaven guy will probably look main or front gen
hot take, though. i honestly think even when pros use some default smokes, it's also a bit of a throw. i feel a lot of people smoke the way they do out of habit, but i generally agree with key's idea that varying smokes is insanely impactful, especially to an uncoordinated ranked lobby. like im sure youve experienced seeing a really stupid smoke in the middle of site in ranked only to get rolled by the omen playing around it with a shorty. not saying its completely the same as what happened in the video, but the idea of just "copying the pros" is just too overused and valorant could use some fun and creativity especially with smokes (ex. forsaken's smokes on harbor).
He's literally doing what hooj does and has been doing his entire career. Coaching, aka "criticizing". Except in his case he isn't a narcissistic nob who maintained a lie about being radiant to inflate his career.
@@joshai7557 lol, i'm not woohoojing fan at all i'm not subscribed to him and barley watch his videos, i'm just saying that someone who never hit Radiant shouldn't critique or comment on someone else gameplay and tbh i think anyone who actually pays to slayerkey or woohoojing is a sucker that got robbed.
@@omergenish5224 you actually know NOTHING about gaming or coaching or anything pro related, ALOT of the PRO teams coaches have never hit radiant, you do not need to be RADIANT to be an insanely high level coach or coach other people, the problem is hooj lied about it to trick people so he could get a monetary gain and key didn't

Hooj overthinks and plays too passive all the time that hes not making much impact on rounds
I can't even describe how this video has more impact than any coaching videos I've ever seen.
The crazy part is hooj makes A LOT of these points you are making when he is VOD reviewing others.

Calling the default smokes a throw is a little bit wierd to me, even pros use these so what gives you the right to say they are wrong.
Youre also nitpicking bad clips, which feels counterintuitive for a video about if "he will hit radiant"
people can have opinions, he has a right to express what he thinks
pros wouldn’t play absolutely perfectly and he’s a coach so that’s his job basically
