I always thought that it was ironic that they changed literally every item to "blood" something(blood vials, blood gems, blood stones, blood echoes, etc. etc.) but then went out of their way to change bleed, of all status effects, to "rapid poison"

I love rapid poison, people say next to useless to make poison/rapid poison builds since it lowers your damage but those are just the people who don't like fun PvP. Burial blade with rapid poison is my favorite mostly because it reminds of glorious Life Hunt scythe.
I think of Rapid Poison much more as "Mini Frenzy" or "Player Frenzy" since (as far as I know) players can't deal Frenzy. Unless the Bloodletter L2 attack deals Frenzy, because I know it does it to yourself. Never really tried it out, though.

Brave ShowBoys Poison is slow poison. Toxic isn't in bloodborne, and bleed is fast poison. Frenzy isn't in any other game. My reasoning is that poison and slow poison both slowly lower health. Toxic quickly lowers health. Bleed and rapid poison both do 100-300 damage at once. While frenzy does 500+ damage at once.
Started this whole gaming series with Bloodborne then went to ds3 then ds2. I won't be going to demon souls but will try to do ds1. But watching these vids again in October of 2017, makes me wanna go jump back into bb. But it gets me sad because there's only one sequel in gaming that I want more than BB. That game is socom 2. I know we got socom 3 and another one...but I want a PS4 game that's based on SOCOM 2. BB is the first game I played since ocorina of time that truly got me excited to explore a genre I typically don't play
Problem I've found you can get with Rapid Poison is how the damage can be completely negated if it applies while they have Invulnerability frames up and the entire bar empties so you could end up having your build do nothing at all if they happen to get lucky at the time. It's why I tend to only use it on the Chikage mixed with Physical ATK gems. Anyway good go at it again Moose. :)

Give this a try against Mergo's Wet Nurse if you get a chance. It absolutely destroys her even on NG+6 and above. I always get a chikage to +6 just so I can slot it with three standard +10 rapid poison gems; when you factor in the innate +30 you get when you put it in blood mode it's incredibly powerful.

correct me if i'am wrong ( i've never used poison before) but wouldn't Logarius wheel or the pizza cutter be better for this build with some of the attacks having multiple hits of spinning damage?

+Peter Yang I have a build for strength weapons, skill weapons, arcane, and so on. I'll grab the blood rocks and do as many weapons as I can per character. With the Chalice dungeons and DLC you can pick up 5 Bloodrocks per play through. Plus high level bosses can drop them, so always have an eye rune on while doing chalice dungeons. The best place though is you can buy them for 60 insight after you kill mergo's wet nurse.
I'm not a big fan of bloodborne pvp, I'm sticking with Ds2SotFS until ds3 comes out, but I really do enjoy watching your bloodborne pvp vids moose torrent. Keep up the good work! :D
The circle slot seems like a good idea at first, but in the end, unless you want to spend forever in health drain (and lose access to the high-damage fire-arms that bloodtinge builds use), it's more worthwhile to put a waning or triangle gem in one of the other versions so that your untransformed attacks and visceral attacks are better. For a rapid poison focused build like this, a triangle gem with +physical attack with a side effect of +rapid poison would probably be best.
Does the rapid poison effect still apply when your opponent dodges through your attacks? (similar to how you can regain health from dodging enemies, even when the hit doesn't go through for damage)

I went a whole 9 playthroughs of this game avoiding rapid poison, bc slow poison is already pretty damn fast, and have never gotten rapid poison inflicted on me. Just to figure out by this video all it is is a worse frenzy. Damn.

usually takes 2 days most of non-stop playing for me just explore every little area have like 2 moon runes equipped always and use as many coldbloods as you can to level up and try to save as many echoes as you can by NOT dying and you will be level 120 before you know it
Just Viewing no problem, also another tip is farming off the maneater boars and shadows of yharnam enemies outside mergos loft: middle will grant you over 50000 echoes easily each time with 3 moon runes equipped
I push my game into NG+ usually with the Moon Runes and then farm the 1st Floor Lecture Building room with all the jelly dudes for a few hours. Also, you should make your builds BL 140. It lets you do way more than you normally would with the builds. An added bonus of NG+ is you get four Blood Rocks without chalices, and if you save up Insight you can usually buy two per playthrough from the vendors.
Quick question, where are you pvping? Ive never seen this area before, is it a specific chalice? Thankful if someone could explain how one gets to this area.

Thank you! I'll try it out immediately. Yes I realized that after the release of DS3 the populous decreased. But now after most are done with DS3 a large amount of people are returning. Mostly because they preferred the mechanics and playstyle of bloodborne it seems.

Moose Torrent I just checked the guide it says it does have a natural rapid poison effect in it's second form, and they even suggest adding gems that add rapid poison to increase it's effect. I assume it's like serration and a hidden effect, but I think the weapon would kill the opponent before the rapid poison takes effect...
+Moose Torrent you can untransform it every now and then and try to get the "unsheathe slash" while you're at it. only thing is, the Chikage heavily relies on R1 spam, so you'll be really predictable during PvP.

Wouldn't using the Lost Chikage with the first two poison gems and a Blood damage gem be more effective?

surprised these past 2 videos weren't the same video. start with a slow poison weapon. when it takes effect swap to a rapid poison weapon.

It seems impossible to anticipate an opponent's range with all those delayed ghost hits.
Don't rely on the range of the attacks, always use your dodges if if you think it won't hit you.

Gotcha. Thanks for clearing that up. Now that I think about, we couldn't use frenzy until the DLC weapons. So fast poison was the closest to bleed.

Thank you! I'll try it out immediately. Yes I realized that after the release of DS3 the populous decreased. But now after most are done with DS3 a large amount of people are returning. Mostly because they preferred the mechanics and playstyle of bloodborne it seems.

im not seeing the poison kick in, like i just see one solid number, it doesnt look like they continue to lose health. Am i missing it??
Rabid poison takes ~300 HP away when bar fills. It doesn't take away health slowly like poison
+elektriccobra that's because rapid poison works like bleed. when the meter is full it drains a portion of your health instantly. no continuous health drain ;)
You can see it on the first fight, the poison is what kills the other player.
It's a flat damage, like bleed in Dark Souls.

Frenzy is % based, I might be mistaken but I believe it's around 70% of your total health pool.
Why do you bow when they heal? They don't deserve the respect of a bow, dust off, or applause is much better. Don't heal kids, its not cool

+Tom Lom They are a rare drop from Ashen Hunters (mob-versions). I'm really surprised that Moose got these radial dirty gems by accident. They are a hard to farm.

Moose Torrent I just checked the guide it says it does have a natural rapid poison effect in it's second form, and they even suggest adding gems that add rapid poison to increase it's effect. I assume it's like serration and a hidden effect, but I think the weapon would kill the opponent before the rapid poison takes effect...
Wouldn't Blades of Mercy or Rakuyo be better poison weapons?

+Moose Torrent you can untransform it every now and then and try to get the "unsheathe slash" while you're at it. only thing is, the Chikage heavily relies on R1 spam, so you'll be really predictable during PvP.

I don't have a PS4 so I can't play Bloodborne and all of my experience with the game comes from ENB and watching various PvPers I like. Is there any particular reason people cut their health?
+DlwinnerS197 Invaders automaticly have there health reduced by 30% so using blood bullets will make it an even fight.

i pvp with the evelyn and the rakuyo or the chikage. ive gone up against people with rapid poison. i guess i dont get what they are attempting to do cause they do little to no damage
Well of course you don't. You clearly don't like having fun in PvP hence you use Scrub ass weapons
