It's wonderful to hear this mighty anthem again. I do prefer it in it's original form. I have performed 1000s of times. Ye Elders of Israel is how I learned the bass line when I was in the Northern States Mission.
The tremendous to hear the gospel song and i do like themcause it touches my life because i was baptize in to the church of jesus christ of lds at the age of an aronic priesthood .
As I sit here with a broken and contrite spirit I am about to bless and pass the Sacrament in my own home...I miss church so much and yet I have resisted this simple act for one reason...my pride. I don't like all the rules either (coffee...) and I break a few on occasion. But I miss and need my Heavenly Father than to not so this ordnance...So be thou imperfect but come to HIM anyway. I text this in Jesus name AMEN!
No one is perfect with all the rules/commandments. Everyone is imperfect. Don't worry! It's why we keep trying and look to the Savior. Start with one rule/commandment and try to live it. You will start to see the happiness that comes from living that one rule/commandment. Then try to live two. Baby steps. You can do it! I have had to do the same thing. My life has been immeasurably blessed. I have happiness in my life that has only been possible because of the Gospel.
