- I had the privilege of being hosted by the most amazing food vlogger - Soumyajit Ghosh and his incredible family.
@zerowattfilms is undoubtedly, the best food channel in Bangla. One of my inspirations and whose content I would watch for hours. It gives me so much joy as I share my experience with you through this food and mukbang vlog.
Soumyajit and his amazing family are passionate about food, they don't just enjoy eating but are amazing chefs.
Ufff...As much as their food filled my soul, their warmth and love filled my heart.
Thank you Soumyajit, Tuli, Maa, Baba and all the members of Zerowatt Family.

"Potoler Dorma" might have become an integral part of Bengali delicacy nowadays but it's more of a Bengali adaptation of Portuguese, "Dolma". Same is the case with "Shukto". Traditional Portuguese meal starts with a bitter recipe to help secrete the necessary enzymes present in saliva. Digestion starts right from there. Another fun fact about a popular Bengali dish, Chingrir Malai-Curry is that it has barely anything to do with "Malai" i.e. Milk-cream. Rather it's "Malay Curry" due to the usage of ingredients like coconut milk and stuffs that are more commonly applied in Malaysian Cuisine.

Yes...as various cultures mixed in Bengal during colonial erra, so you can find various world foods here...Bengali tongue is very flexible and so Bengalis are very open minded so all good foods are mixed in our culture.
@@sandipanmukherje I've a genuine issue regarding the fact that the amount of hype we witness about socio-cultural confluences, do we see even a fragment of similar celebration for the influences in culinary traditions?! It's indeed painful for foodies like me!!
@@786sourav There is no such thing as a multi-course "traditional Portuguese meal". The "traditional" food they have today is mostly borrowed from cultures they encountered during their colonial endeavours. Europe, in general, never had the chance to develop a very nuanced culinary tradition owing to the relatively recent dawn of civilization there, the climate, and what grew there (little to no herbs and spices) - maybe with the exception of the Mediterranean region which was connected to the East for the longest time. There are a lot these fake facts/truisms floating around based on little to no evidence, or circular referencing with origins in Colonial/Orientalist literature. For instance, the claim that chili peppers were unknown to India until the Portuguese brought it to our shores. Absolute bunkum.

This was an intense food vlog. I avoid eating many vegetables. Almost all the vegetables seen in the vlogs aren't in my consumption list. I think, should have to experience the taste of vegetables, the way they were doing in the vlogs
Do u have allergies or just don't want to eat them cuz they not as "tasty" as junk food?
@@your_name96 Have skin allergies with brinjal & taro root (Arbi). Dislike eating vegetables like pointed guard (parwal), Jack fruit (kathal) etc because of it's taste. May be because of the taste of the preparation, I have ever experienced.
