This part of Argentina is great to #visit year-round given its seemingly-endless sunshine. Located on an arid plateau, Mendoza was built on the irrigation channels that were originally dug by the indigenous Huarpe people. These waterways also feed snowmelt from the Andes to Mendoza's vineyards. Mendoza is one of the most highly renowned wine regions in the world.

It does indeed look like an Eden! More restful, smaller population, and cleaner than BA, and handy to Chile, the beautiful Lakes Region, and oh, all the wine! Would love to spend time there, especially during North American winters.

Mendoza is nice, very clean, one of the safest cities in Latin America, not much traffic, very green with several nice parcs, good restaurants....
....but also a bit boring! There is not much to see apart of the parcs. Within one hour you can explore the whole entire city. To stay 1 - 2 days in Mendoza is ok but not more....it's better to rent a car and visit the area. Lots of wine yards, the Lake Potrerillos, the hot sources of Cacheuta.....
What is really amazing about Mendoza - it's called the "Capital of Wine" and you can find dozens of shops selling wine (Malbec) but in the city you see more people drinking beer! I found several bars in downtown Mendoza serving excellent local craft beer - but no wine!!
Hi, Carsten. We are a wine city but we don't drink wine with every food lmao. In bars we enjoy to drink beer, you'll find more wine-drinkers in fancy restaurants or on Sundays when we eat "asado".
We say vineyards in English...loved Mendoza. Visited almost all of Argentina but Mendoza was my favourite place and somewhere I'd happily live.

YummYakitori Kiev people were awesome in 2014 when they threw Molotov cocktails at the violent police (I think they're called Berkov?) and created a circle of fire to keep police away in the main square along with the fighting against Russia. I think those factors are scaring off tourists so I can understand why Expedia wouldn't advertise for Kiev right now.
