Always love to see my creations in your videos and in your displays! And also always awesome to see the paint jobs that other people do on my figure designs - so cool. Couple of notes for anyone interested: 1. My Luke (Bacta) figure comes with the two different heads you see here ('wet' hair and 'dry' hair) so you can swap them and display it however you like. I like how Mr GQ has the wet haired version displayed in the tank here - looks great! 2. Just to be clear, the R1-G4 figure isn't intended to be screen-accurate - that's why it doesn't look like the one seen in that clip from ANH. It's based on Kenner's original (but never manufactured!) prototype that was briefly seen at Celebration a few years back. That's why it's black instead of green and has totally different features than what's seen on screen! Great video, and as always - thanks for the love!
You do the best work, FM!! Love ALL your Stuff!! Thanks for keeping things cool for all of us collectors. Appreciate the details. Yessir…keep em coming, brother!!! 🤘🏻
I really wish Kenner hadn't concentrated so heavily on the Hoth playsets. All we got out of Cloud City was that cheap cardboard display with no play value. The Micro Collection was nice, but not being in the 3 3/4" scale, it seemed like a huge missed opportunity.
I hear ya, pal. A lot of collectors feel that way. I too wish the Cloud City Playset was actually a plastic Playset instead of the cardboard one we got. But things are what they are. Meanwhile, custom makers are churning out new things to get excited about. Perhaps someone will tackle Cloud City. I know Michael at RetroBlasting has one that’s awesome!
💥💥 GQ HYPE LEVEL 10!!!!! 💥💥 Love your genuine excitement - and what great items to be excited about. The Wampa Cave is total rad!! Now if only Lukes scarf was hanging down on the figure. The Hoth Rebel Trooper was a alt good choice. My only bit of feedback - I would love to see the cave just a little bit taller so that you could put the figures arms in a downward position and still have him hanging off the ground with some distance. But seriously - very cool. The Bacta tank is one I would have loved as a kid. The perfect playset feature IMO. I honestly can't believe they didn't make it. The Hoth Echo Base is phenomenal. Looks like it displays wonderfully and with a few little decorative spruce-ups and decals, it could be absolutely perfect. Regardless, it ooks fantastic in your display cabinet with the custom & vintage figures. 😍. The custom Luke is great in the tank too. A true "must" for the set up. Most impressive that these were sent to you as gifts, there's some amazing people out there in our community (Jay!!!). You weren't wrong, I'm totally jazzed watching this video today GQ!
These customs are rad!! It was hard not to get excited. I love vintage Star Wars and when things like this come into my world, I get amped!! Glad you enjoyed the video, bro! Hopefully you can get your hands on these designs too. And Jay is amazing for gifting me these things. It’s moments like this that remind me just how awesome this community truly is!!
Dude, just gorgeous! Am I seeing some small bore holes in the Wampa Cave floor for Luke's lightsabre to sit into while he's dangling? Amazing detail if so!
If it's better than the old days and I can't afford it it is cool but how many fans will not get a chance especially those who left the Earth tell them to keep up the good work
The prices are outrageous for just for cheap plastic and some small one just few metal plastic. It to much money for kid to enjoy. Trying to get the plastic the starship to pay much for cheap is not worth it. I brought it for three dollors and it light with batteries. Now they are 50.00 to 100.00 to 500. 00. I thinking of making it my self.
Glad you like the echo base set. There are lots of amazing designers in the 3D printing space. Many are for the 6 inch line but easily scale down for 3.75. It’s an amazing time to be a vintage collector. Can’t wait for you to see the next pieces. Take care brother.
Can’t thank you enough, brother!!! I’m super jazzed on this setup. Everything gels so well together. Thank you so much for sharing these amazing pieces with me!!
@@KoolKatDaveno sorry it is not. I don’t have the time or interest in starting to sell these at this point. I just enjoy making stuff and sharing it with the community.
There was a department store in the mall called TG&Y (which I'm sure is loooooong forgotten) where I got all of the Hoth figs in one fell swoop for my birthday. The Hoth Luke was one of them. It was the only time that I ever saw him in any store.
Great report! I always enjoy watching your videos. In fact, I just received my custom playset from Lee at Paleetoy (Destruction of Alderaan). Wow! Thanks again for doing what you do and keeping us all informed! Your enthusiasm and passion for these wonderful toys definitely shines through!
I distinctly remember a Hoth ice planet battle station as i had it as a kid. It ws all white had battle stations with the black battle guns on it. It sat flat was not very big but had like ice trenches. I am reliving my childhood. Thanks
You are thinking of the Imperial Attack Base playset. That thing had everything on it. Great playset! Happy to help stir up some good memories for you, bud!
Everything looks great, Diaper Lyke needs an air hose. I like the wampa piece, if there was a way to hang Luke with magnets that could be a good upgrade. Jusr constructive criticism not complaining like i said great custom pieces.
Customs do cost money and they aren't sold in stores. That part is true. I've been extremely fortunate to get some of these pieces in my collection. The generosity of people like Jay, is simply incredible!! I'm very grateful.

Great designs Funky. I always was worried about loss of detail printing with PLA vs resin but I think they turned out pretty good.
The figures are awesome, Jay! Funky’s designs translated well!
Always enjoy looking at your new creations ! Thanks........gotta go and drink some blue space milk !
You do great work!
The bacta tank with that Luke is awesome! Id love that just by itself. Amazing all together like this.
The bacta tank is the icing on the cake for me.
Those are spectacular toys! That echo base would have been fun when I was a kid.
Yessir. I agree.
This is awesome! What Kenner should have made. Now, you'll have to get the 3-D printed Tantive IV ships.
There is definitely a 3D printed ship that I’m hoping to own one day.
Really love your enthusiasm for the fan-made toys. And they indeed are impressive.
Thanks! Customs are breathing some more life into the collecting hobby.
The excitement in your videos is contagious
Keep it up brother!
👏👏👏👏👏
Thanks, buddy!! 🤛🏻
Cool stuff!

The funny thing is I thought the Hoth rebel trooper was Luke Skywalker for many years . 😂
So many kids probably did.

Not sure what those are. There are 2 holes, that much is true. But I don’t think that’s what they are for. 🤷🏻♂️
Ah okay, see if one will fit! Love your videos!
Thanks!

Best time to collect is right now. So many advancements with customs.
Really cool! That setup looks great! Your excitement was palpable.
I get excited by badass toys!!
Bad ass
It's a work of art.
whats with the gloves its not the mona lisa painting you are handling
Why do you need to ask? I feel the mystery is far more exciting than the answer itself.
Lets see a CANTINA done like this... there was a cardboard version that wasn't awful, but it stil lacked... A large two room cantina...
With 3D printing anything is possible.
Omg thats so fucking cool! So jealous. Im finally getting a good tauntaun and wampa. I gotta get my hands on this. Love it
Every Hoth setup needs a good TaunTaun / Wampa combo.
All looks great! You could put a survival kit gas mask on Luke in Bacta tank to sub for his breathing tube!
That’s a great idea that I have toyed with doing!
You got excited by a Luke in a nappy. Perv! Only joking…😂
Hahaha!
Fans are making the best stuff.
I agree.
Why are you wearing gloves ?
Had a fateful accident aboard Jabba’s Sail Barge…
That is great work by those custom makers. It truly expands the existing line.
I think it fits in nicely with the Kenner collection.

ugh...I hate seeing Han in the brown coat...looks like poop!
Haha
Amazing. Absolutely amazing. Thanks for sharing. These customs truly expand the Kenner line. Now I have to make room for this. lol

Ha! I thought I was the only one who used the Hoth trooper as Luke. Just never ever saw Hoth Luke on the peg to even buy him!
You definitely weren’t the only one, bud!

This, combined with the Kenner Imperial Attack Base, would make for a perfect Hoth base.
I love this Playset! It’s amazing. Works so well with the Kenner toys.

This is not vintage
No one said it was.
Its really impressive to see customs figs ships/vehicles or playsets.
