I too love the step through especially considering I have a bad back. You make it look so fun. Good job! I too have an electric bike (Hyper scorpion) but mine is through Juiced! I love my bike! 1st time watching your videos but that’s all it took. You can see the genuine kind hearted honest man you are and I love your enthusiasm. 👍
Excellent review! I've not seen a bike review with such detailed, thorough examination. Helps me with understanding all I should be looking at before selecting an e-bike. Thanks for all the great info!
Looks like a whole lotta fun! 🤗 Great job on the review, riding the bike with flip flops.....ouch 😫😳 Thank you for sharing, I could go broke with your excellent finds. How about a kayak?
Hey Bobby Gene, just checking in after all this time to watch your superlative reviews again. I am researching EBikes at this time, and came back to watch your uniformly superb review on the Himiway Escape. It is November of 2021 as I text this, and an Ebike is def in my future, as a retiree in NYC. So many choices....Radpower,Himiway,Tern,etc. I just want to send my very best to you, your son, family, and friends, during these difficult Pandemic times, that has affected supply chain issues with bikes/Ebikes and more, of course. Be safe my brother, and continue to post reviews on Tech & more that would make any engineer proud. Be safe always, phil p.s. I can't resist. Yamaha Tenere 700 vs 2022 Kawasaki 650 KLR?😄🍀🇺🇲❤️👮
Kawi! Sorry so late been out of town, Thanks for the kind words and well wishes! Busy busy on a renovation project near me. I 'd give you a great deal on this KBO bike I just reviewed if you were near by! Cheers and back at ya!
@@GenesTherapy Thanks for the gracious KBO offer BG but I'm still saving. Veteran Chris Nolte who owns PROPEL EBIKES in Brooklyn,NY & CA has great Ebike reviews & tutorials on YT. Some of his drool worthy, high end Riese & Muller German Ebikes are over $8,000. Hence my long time interest in Motorcycles too. A new 2022 Kawi KLR 650 is roughly the same price as that German Ebike. I also watch retired LEO Jerry Palladino from FL on his RIDE LIKE A PRO YT channel. Great safety stuff from a Motorcycle officer. Happy Holidays Bobby Gene,be safe.
The bracket I showed was just an example of what to look for, that particular one will not fit the Escape. Check the Facebook groups, I think there are some people making and selling them. Cheers!
This is Dec. 27 and I got my Escape Pro 6 months after I ordered it. So I never got to ride it in the summer and cold hit Sask. in October. Now its been 9 months and I still haven't got my black helmet and free hat. I have never had so much trouble with a company. They say its on its way and a month later I'm still waiting for my helmet. Now they say I ordered to late so now they say there sending me a white helmet. Guess what still waiting.
You should have bought your bike at Alter Ego Bikes in Vancouver, Rebel ST, same bike, all these bikes are made in china by Haidong, just a different name for different businesses, ect... Challenger 2, Rebel ST, Rev It Up, Escape Pro and so on , same bike.
Sounds like it is stuck in comity. Lol! Loved that. Looks like they make a good quality product, I didn't think the spokes would save that much weight but I prefer the wheels that you had.
looks like a great bike you hit the same two concerns I would have, weight, and static seat. I am only 5 foot tall, finding a workable bike for me is a challenge.
Hey T! I think the seat height would be fine for you, and the weight isn't an issue unless you would need to pick it up frequently. I hope you find one!
Great review, I have been looking at moped style e-bikes and your review has been a tremendous help. Definitely leaning towards the Escape, looks like a great value. Thank you Gene, keep up the great work!
22:50, that spacer isn't for the Himiway Escape, its for a different moped-style ebike so I am not sure that would work for the Himiway Escape. I've searched for a spacer/riser, and have yet to find one.
Technically this is not tax exempt as the motor is 750w. The law specifically states less than 750w not "up to 750w" I am sure you can get away with it since this is a class 3 ebike/Moped
Hey Bobby Gene! Missing FL. Been looking at e-bikes for so long. I'm so overwhelmed. Any theory as to why the majority of bikes do not have an adjustable seat height? Seems like a no-brainer...🤔🤗👋 Thanks! Learned aLOT as usual 😉🥰! Excellent comprehensive video! You really need your own network program. 😊
Hi Kathryn, I think it's just this style (moped) they many don't have adjustable seats, I've some others that do. I'll be reviewing a few other, less expensive, options soon!
I have an Escape and like you, I'm 6 feet tall, so not being able to raise the seat is a disadvantage of this model. However the bracket you show as an option to lift the seat in the Himiway Escape is from another moped style e-bike on a different brand (Juiced Scorpion). The bracket you show will not fit the Escape as shown. Waiting for Himiway to catch on and come up with a lift bracket as an option.
I like this ebike. But I feel like it’s too big to get it on the metro train or just a car when traveling to the beach. Also the bike frame is kinda boring. But overall seems like good quality ebike.
Hi Jazmar, I was sent this one for review. I'll review the others if they send me one. I just released another video review on an awesome cruiser. Check it out.
Looks like a lot of fun but I also need excercise. I'm 5'11" - would I be able to comfortably pedal for a good 10 miles or - is it too low and uncomfortable ergonomics wise to also get decent excercise pedaling ?
Thanks, best review, period. Hey papa good job. May buy one soon. Like you,the 92 lbs is a concern. Like to get a mid drive, but out of my price range.
The best way to check to be sure is to find a stool or stack something up to 33" and try it out. The seat cushion will crush down a bit when you sit on it, so maybe even 32" or 31".
Nice bike. Yes, I reckon it would be easy to insert 4 barrels under the saddle and 4 extension mounting screw to raise the saddle a few inches. That would make it so much more appealing to own as it enables better use of the pedals.
@@theFitProfessor If you look on UA-cam for Scrambler V. This is a clone of the Escape from France - but better because its 20lbs lighter. There is one guy who has done a lot of mods on the V and the Scrambler S (which is a clone of Juiced Scrambler.
Bobby, thanks for your review. I am interested in getting an ebike or something that you stand on. May I ask you inseam because that will help me understand knee break for me?

I watched your video, I don't know how many times. I am waiting for my Escape and it's been 7 weeks!
I heard there are global shipping problems, some places are having rough times getting parts etc. Hopefully you won't have to wait too much longer!

Bobby Gene thats a 😎 cool ebike thanks for a 👍 great review ! Robyn B😀
Hiya Robyn thank you!
I'm 6'2" and seat not bad. Yes weight is problem, take the battery out for less weight.
But I have to say a great purchase. Inos Angeles I took some bike paths, met 2 people in 2 days. I could easily see myself without a car and I am 56.
I’m 6’1” and thinking about buying the Escape. Has the seat height been any problem at all? Would you recommend it to other tall people?
@@MOZARTUSS seat height fine confortable but did get sore bottom. But i am overweight. Height not problem. There are even gappers you can get.

Hey T! I think the seat height would be fine for you, and the weight isn't an issue unless you would need to pick it up frequently. I hope you find one!
What's the height from the ground to the top of the seat? (Their picture shows pedal to seat is 28".)
@@acasdf1 33.3/4 in.
By the way, why is it so heavy? Is it because of those Mag Wheels?
Big tires, those rear shocks, battery, thick frame
looks like florida to me!
How do you lock it? Does it use a key to turn on or does it have a password?
It comes with two keys to lock in the battery. I meant to cover that in the video! ugh. The key can be removed after 'locking' in the battery.
Important to Note:
This bike no longer comes with Hydraulic Breaks anymore.

hi where could i get this Tall Seat (spacer)
google juiced bikes, I think that's were I saw it. Might have to make your own with this bike. Also check the Himiway FB group pages!

I haven’t seen no one take it inside a elevator. Like how much struggle is it. Maybe you can show us that.
Hello sir. Where did you see the spacer for the seat? Thank you for the great review!
If I remember I saw it on the dedicated Facebook page for Himiway. I also just did a Google search for bicycle seat extender.

Not during competition, just this leisure stuff :)

the closer they get to 2 grand the less comfort i feel with the thought of leaving it anywhere. so im gonna need to add a security guard to the price
