I like to go Sands of Time into book of Thoth on Scylla is that really that bad. Been having great games with that start

I wouldn't say bad but just not the best option
try out both builds and figure out with what you are more comfortable
Also good is :gem,doom orb,spear,poly,myrddins and tahuti
