"Wow what can I say……. I’m completely blown away by the transformation of my car. For those that don’t know, I was fortunate enough to win the main prize in the 100k subscriber giveaway earlier this year, but due to work constraints and a full diary on Jim’s side we were only able to get the car booked in toward the back end of September.
Excited would be an understatement when the drop-off day arrived, knowing just what skilled hands my pride and joy would be in. So, as myself and my wife boarded a plane for some time in the sun my car began its transformation from the much loved but tired beast to the shiny and sparkly monster it has become…. (Did I mention that it’s an M5 packing 560 hp)
Anyway, fast forward to collection day………….
Although I tried to stay away from social media as much as I could, I’d seen 1 or 2 pics of some of the work in progress………the excitement and anticipation started to rise.
From when I went through to see the finished result right through until now some hours later I’m still amazed by what has happened…..
The standard and skill involved is just incredible, I thought I knew what to expect from a detail and this just surpassed all previous notions of what Jim has achieved…..the final gloss is so deep and clear I know I could shave in the reflection…and I told Jim just that.
To see all this on TV is one thing but to see this for real on my car just doesn’t come close, honestly this must be seen to be believed.
I feel humbled and privileged to have been able to experience this……………winning things like this doesn’t happen to people like me and it wouldn’t have happened without people like Jim and all the competition sponsors contributing to an amazing giveaway and raising so much money for McMillan Cancer

How do the number plate holder screws affect your work? They must get in the way with their raised and sharp edges, rip/snag your clothes and polishing pads etc

As always a fantastic video. Personal experience with SunTek, it has a yellowish tone to it unlike XPEL. On a pure white paint like the recent Porches you have done, it would make the PPF'd panels look yellow in comparison. Bit of a let down.
Thanks for your thoughts - I'm very impressed this far in. I love the finish, the texture (much smoother and a nicer finish than XPEL, don't you think?) Can't say I have noticed any yellowing or discoulration.. an old product/film perhaps?

Question: have you ever tried the car bar impregnated microfiber towels? I've used them for a couple years and they seem to do a similar job with a lot less work.
Hi - i've used them on occasion. They're certainly much quicker to work around a car with but I still like the accuracy of an actual clay bar.

afraid not - my Rebel Blue V60 R-Design made it to the channel briefly a few years ago but it wasn't a very thorough job! (i sold it soon after)

Was looking to know this also.
I haven't got personal reccomendations other than my Swan vane compressor. Purchased through Axminster tools but doesnt look like they stock them anymore! oil-free and super quiet! I've suggest sticking with something 50L and above though if you've got the space/budget
