I used to do this from 1997-2007. Fastest 330’ I ever made was 4.397 at 415lbs probably around 2005. Fractured my neck in an outlaw 330 car in 2004 July 4th race in Georgia during a TT my throttle hung open. Im really happy to see this is still a thing I have a 1 yr old I hope to get into it some day.
I loved racing my Jr, I have now moved up to a big dragster this year. Will be making my first passes within the next week. But drag racing is the best sport I could have ever gotten into. Hope you pass down your love of racing to you baby.
@@katthekidcross3362 yeah I hope so as well. I never moved up to a big car. We bought a Chevelle and ran it a few times but it just never stuck for me personally. I haven’t been to a drag strip in 15 years and I used to to multiple drag strips most weekends my entire childhood.
Jr. drags are cool. At BIR kids as young as 5 run. The little kids sure get a kick out of it and they are full of spunk. I had one young man tell me in no uncertain terms why drag racing was better than stock car racing!!

i just asked my dad if i can get one he said maybe if i start racing in one of them as a kid then ima get a job and start building my funny car and then ill be in nhra and ill race john force and ron caps and robert hight
@@katthekidcross3362 There are different ways people launch how I do it is I go when the last yellow lights up it looks like she went of the green if you go off the green it’s a slower reaction time
Ya so the car is going to launch like a rocket then even out speed at the end of the track but electric Jrdragsters go slow at the start and fast at the end
I would have loved to do that as a kid
The light on the back i have on my bycicle they are good lights
When it gets dark it helps for officials to see us and make sure we aren't stuck on the track 👍

@@reep0763 every track has a different roll out. And I also have 5 perfect reaction slips. I practice on a drag tree religiously every night.
