I've went once. 85 miles out of st Simon's. My go to for offshore and inshore fishing. The navy towers about 40-60 out are awesome and from July to September the bull red migration is absolutely crazy 36"+ on a regular basis with awesome tarpon fishing near the Cumberland islands.
I’ve been out to the south ledge, caught some tuna and kingfish. I would like to get into the mahi though. Fished R5 a few times, but not R4 yet. I plan on running out there as soon as the weather lays down. Yesterday was roughhh. 3-5 ft ever 6 seconds and windy
@Cubera Snapper yesss! I love the Mahi bite off the grass mats in the emerald green water. Seen a very large blue marlin chasing after a 20" Mahi last time I went. It's been awhile since I've fished the towers but they're fun as well. Have you tried M1R1? And absolutely, 3-5 at 6 is past what I'd enjoy being out in.

We gotta run 90 miles East to the Gulf Stream and the ledges. Georgia has the best fishing!
