Don't damage the base of the tree or it will sprout new shoots like crazy. I collect the new (pinkish) leaves & dry then - powder them down to mix in with the meal. Same can be done with still supple leaves. Keep the sticks after the leaves have been stripped off - use as shiskebab sticks, or for Kofftas. The leaves, if you have pets can be put into the pets bed to reduce fleas - in medieval times it was a popular strewing herb for insect control. How do you grow bay leaves in USA? Thanks.
@@HanhNguyen-qc4fp Hello I'm from England and its been in my garden from years. I guess you would getting a cutting from a bay leaf tree and put it in water until the roots are established /grow. Then plant it in the ground. Wishing you success
I tried growing bay leaf from a cutting, it’s not dead, but not moving either, it’s in a pot. I might put it in the ground and see what happens. I believe it has to be a Laurel bay.
