I think we all know that the mental trauma that Dylan dealt with as a result of his accident was on a different level from the physical trauma. He had to do work to feel okay again and get back to work and I have so much respect for him for that.
Styles is the only reason I watched Teen Wolf. Dylan is a phenomenal actor. I’m so glad he survived and overcame his struggles. He was made for this.

5:47 You can hear how his voice was going to break. I can't even imagine how much pain he went through. Not only physical but mostly psychological. A surgery like that can take you a year to completely heal. Add to that the PTSD. Dylan really is a fighter. He's so strong and resilient 💕
Well yeah, that's right low-key, at least for someone like Dylan who was riding high on relentless successes from Teen Wolf to Maze Runner. It would have been excruciating for him to give that all up for that long and dread the menaces like a possible end to his short but prodigious career. But for people like me who are on the opposite end of the spectrum before these kind of life-threatening traumas, the time away from regular functioning and limited confinement can be a blessing in disguise for a revitalized future ahead. And even my fav Dylan agrees that the time away(however apprehensive), got him to re-evaluate his existence and revive some of the old relationships he had sidelined for so long.
Btw, I had a humongous burst fracture in the thoracolumbar region(L1) which would have most likely left me crippled and paralyzed had it not been for the timely operative intervention.
I'm happy dylan got the role.. I CANT SEE ANYONE ELSE AS STILES

He has such a nice face and body, very charming and attractive somehow. On top of that, he's a nice actor with a real presence. Probably one of the most promising actors of his generation.
Thankfully he is better and recovered now - but his beautiful face is just angelic and thankfully he has no scars. He is an example of someone who kept pushing back and succeeded. Wonderful person.

@@Eythora-t5h i agree...health is number 1, but as an actor his face is an important part (just think about all the facial expressions that an actor does and how much it impacts a scene) - i'm not saying that his acting would be any less, i'm just saying that his face in his line of work is extremely important. He is passionate about acting and and an injury like his can impact his emotional state greatly as well. He is adorable and i wish him all the best. He is iconic - he brought Stiles Stilinski to life and i can't imagine anyone else doing it. 😇

hes healed physicaly I'm sure hes going to be healing mentally for a long time. These kind of freak accidents can haunt you for years.
since i saw dylan for the first time in teen wolf i got obsessed. He is a amazing ,wonderful, actor and i hope he does not have such situations in his life, he deserves to be happy and a successful career on the screen i love him so much
When Dylan had that accident on the set of Maze Runner I cried so much, if we had lost Dylan his world would be broken 💔 He is so inspirational and an overall amazing person! His sense of humour is the best and his dancing skills are on point. He is the reason I got into acting, I think Dylan O'Brien is one of the best humans in the world, I don't know what I would do without him ❤

Ever since Teen Wolf I’ve always said that it wouldn’t surprise me to see Dylan O’Brien become one of Hollywood’s A-Lister Actors.
It breaks my heart to know that but I'm glad i do. Not sure if all that's said in this video is true but still the accident... it hurts to even think about it. And I'm really glad he made it out of his dark mental state and came back to acting. I don't know what i would do without him. And he really helps me through dark times too, so to know that he almost stopped acting and almost died is just.. idk really terrifying? I don't even know what i should say anymore... he's so strong and i'm glad he pushed himself to keep going. He's my inspiration to do that too (since I'm mentally not very stable )!

When I was 20 I became half paralysed for two months and spent a long time recovering, even now nearly 3 years later I wouldn’t say I’m 100% better even if I’m much better than I was. While I can walk and am doing a gruelling masters degree I still feel physically overwhelmed and mentally drained a lot of the time. While I was a big fan of Dylan O’Brien in my teens and was shocked to hear about his traumatic accident his story only really resonated with me personally when I started to recover and get back to life again after such a traumatic time. I fully understand why he reduced his workload and schedule but I feel I have been noticing him in more stuff these last two years and for that I have the deepest respect for him that he took time out for himself and is now gradually building back a career that most importantly works for him. I always thought he was a talented and strong actor but he is also a remarkable and strong person too. My heart continues to go out to him.
Dylan is great versatile young actor. When he played Nogitsune, he showed what kind of actor he truly is. A lot of actors said that as much is fun to do a bad guy role ,at the same time is that much harder because the actor must shift his total mindset for 180° ! When he played Mitch,he proved once more that he could play really anything,from virgin, goofy teen to total vigilant bada$$! He nailed the role in Weird City with Ed O'Neal! Looking forward to see him as he look for his lost love in Love and Monsters.
I wish him many more awesome roles in life and that he stays in business. Hollywood (and his fans) would be at a great loss if they lose him!

I did not know DOB had a major and traumatic accident 5 years ago in the filming of The Death Cure. I am glad DOB was able to survive and get back on his feet. I've been a fan since Teen Wolf days, and will be forever supporting you Dyl! - From your fan from the Philippines!

I’m just so happy that Dylan is happy. He seems like just so happy and exited all the time but you could definitely see that he was broken in one point. But he’s one of the most amazing actors out there! He plays such different characters as well. My favorite role he played was Thomas in The Maze Runner, The Scorch Trials, and The Death Cure because it was all so well done and his acting was SO AMAZING along with everyone else’s. I would hate to see Dylan sad or angry or upset because i feel like we kinda all know him to be so happy and funny all the time. I'm a really big fan of Dylans work as an actor. He does comedy and is really affecting as a dramatic actor. He's been through a lot in his life thus far and I wish him all the success in the world. But being in movies makes it public that's what being a movie or tv star does make some of your personal life public and it's sucks. I think he is inspected if that's the right word too that that tragic incident happened too him and too get up and work is ass off too get better and do a movie and do what he still loves and did not give up on life that's inspiring.
