I LOVE THE. I LOVE LUCY SHOW THE BEST. MY SISTER AND I LOOK AT ALL OF THEM. They say laughter is good for the soul. I have a sister that has Down syndrome and oh, my God, she would just laugh. And we love to hear Her laughter. And we will laugh right with Her to this day. She is now 62 years old. And I wish she could have just met her in per sound. Even when Lucy gets the crying, she will cry, too. But then when Lucy was be happy, she will be happy as well. Some of the episodes I didn't even know was. I'd be sitting in the room with her. And I it will be hilarious. I just want to say thank you, Lucy, for being awesome. Those was the great days in our life. And thank you guys for continuing on showing her shows. Her shows got me thru Covid-19 - stayed home a lot, and while do not have a tv anymore - watch shows on my computer. Great to laugh out loud - good for mental and physical health. Have seen her 3 Lucy shows several times and have watched at least 15 of her movies. Love "Look Who's Laughing" Staring Edgar Bergen and Charlie McCarthy; along with Fibber McGee and Molly and a very young, pretty blonde girl - Lucille Ball.
Carol Burnett said her birthday was close to the time Lucy died. Each year Lucy send Carol flowers. Carol said she was angry she didn't get any this year, that her friend forgot. Then she heard Lucy died and the next day flowers arrived-- send from Lucy. The order was done in advance. Had to be a sad time for Carol.

I read the rude comments The Burton’s made about Lucy and some seemed genuine, but many remarks were not even based on any personal experiences they had with her……. but more so making nasty comments about her as a person, her acting style & her TV show. I could understand if they had personal conflicts with her and remarked about that but to put down her personality in general, her acting skills (or lack of based on Richard), and her long running TV show which they admitted was successful, but how she was dried up and should’ve stopped producing that long ago because the show fresh or entertaining…….. yet it stayed on the air for many many years and the ratings were quite good so I’m not sure why he would be putting down somebody who was extremely successful. They kind of makes them look petty and it says what type of people they really are.
The other thing I wanted to mention was, if you read about the long list of demands that the Burtons made in order to appear on her TV show, it really is quite sad how demanding and greedy they were. They argued with her production company repeatedly over how much they would get paid, They would only agree to shoot on specific dates and times, they demanded that they had the finest dressing rooms including the finest decor in their dressing, rooms, the finest, most lavish costumes, and fine food & drink waiting for them in their dressing room once they were done with their scene. After that episode, the show’s budget was slimed down quite a bit, and they had to cut a lot of corners on several episodes after that because of all of the expense they had to pay the Burton’s to have them on the program, including their salaries. It did boost the ratings quite a bit so obviously, Lucy saw it as being worth it, but these people were no saints either. They implied that if they did not get what they requested……. they simply would not appear on her program. As I mentioned in my other comment, they put Lucy down, they thought her acting was substandard, and even though her show had decent ratings they said it had been on way too long and she gets away with doing the same stupid things over and over again Because she can’t really act. Isn’t it funny that they find the show and Lucy that horrible. Mini actors turn down roles when they find that they are going to be working with somebody who is difficult or if they find the material is no good or they just don’t care for the movie or program in general. Yet they decided to do it because they got paid the amount they wanted, so again it just shows what kind of people they are as well.
She spent six years on one of the greatest series of all time-- I Love Lucy -- and spent the rest of her life DESPERATELY trying to recapture the magic. And she never did. This show was painful.
Check out the movies she was in long before I Love Lucy, and she just wasnt ,,,,on the show,, she was the show and did many more after that. I wonder where you suffered much pain.
Be thankful she was with us for so long. My mom and I traveled to Jamestown NY to attend the Birthday Festival Weekend. We had a phenomenal time and even stayed an extra day. So much to attend, people to meet, beautiful weather, all thanks to Ric Wyman and his staff and guests. Diane Vincent is an amazing "Lucy", and Rhonda Medina, an amazing "Ethel". We had planned to attend another festival, but mom was ill. I AM VERY THANKFUL WE WERE ABLE TO ATTEND THE FESTIVAL. SUCH FOND MEMORIES WITH MY MOM!🙂

Time flys. 40 years ago it was 1982 and the Lucy Show was produced in the 60's. I know where I was at in the 80's the show only ran in daytime reruns
