This has not the same anointing on it as a version that Michael W. Smith has in a version of Agnus Dei some ten years earlier. If people are looking for it, it begins with a gentleman playing the violin and the entire worship song lasts for about ten minutes or so. But I digress, why? Why does this feel so empty and flat when compared to the M.W. Smith version? I can only surmise that it has everything to do with the Holy Spirit. What do you you think?
I agree. Its my personal fav worship videos ever. I watched that video a thousand times and it still brings me to tears and gives me goosebumps. I love when the crowd alone was singing. It just lifts your spirit and you can just tell the Holy spirit was moving through that place powerfully. But not all worship has to do that, such as this one. Its just to worship God and give glory to him even if doesn't have the same affect.
How do you qualify if a song is anointed or not? There are versions that we like and versions we don't like as much, and because we dont like them it's not as easy to worship with them... Personally this is my experience. But i wouldn't say that some songs are more or less anointed...
I basically agree that there are some versions that I feel more "wholly connected" than this one (that Michael W. Smith's version you've mentioned for the auras, and Travis & Lily Cottrell's version for the genius medley). But I suggest that we don't judge "this song/version is more anointed than that song/version", because anointing is God's privilege, not ours. Let us all enjoy whichever version that CONNECTS us to the real subject: The Almighty God.
Please sing this again for conference 2023

Doesn't seem to be missing anything to me. For the moment, and the context, it seems like just what was needed.
