Persia prior to quran had renaissance spiritual knowledge and science including astrology,hermetics and alchemy which came from greece.
i find it hard to believe that people in this modern age still follow archaic teachings and beliefs. all religion is the source of many wars, it is in "gods" name that people are often killed and oppressed. when humanity accepts the truth, that there is no god, and religion is abolished, the world will become a better place.
