In a small village in a remote area, where peace by day and sleep by night were part of life, there lived a man named Akbar. Akbar appeared to be an ordinary villager, but in reality he was a dangerous bandit who would rob the villagers in the dark of night and reveal his innocence in the morning.
Akbar was shrewd and clever from childhood, but poverty and deprivation led him astray. His parents were labourers, but when they died in an accident, the responsibility of the household fell on Akbar's shoulders. Young Akbar tried many things, but poverty and misfortune did not leave him. Eventually, he turned to theft and robbery to escape life's hardships.
Akbar's robbery spree started with a small shopkeeper in a nearby village. One night, when the entire village was asleep, Akbar broke the lock of the shop and stole all the money and valuables from there. The next morning, the whole village gathered at the shopkeeper's noise, but no one knew who had done it. Akbar, too, pretending to be innocently surprised, joined the villagers in search of the thief.
