It is a beautiful bag and they seem to have done a fine job with the spa. Bags have one thing in common with furniture. It is easy to cross the line and over-restore them and they are not the same bag anymore, but that does not seem to have happened to your bag. Thank you for the video!
The cost to restore is so reasonable and job well done! Can you imagine Mulbery quoted me 350 to reglaze just the opening area of the bag 😂 i rather buy a new bag! Ridiculous
They did a fantastic job! I’m in the US and I picked up my Kelly from the Hermès spa today. It was 2 weeks and 1 day from drop off to the call to pick up. I was shocked at how fast it came back.

@@winniey3407 Yes, it is a black K35. They touched up the corners, re-glued a portion of the clochette and polished the gold hardware. Of course they also cleaned the bag. It was $340.99 USD inclusive of sales tax. My boutique doesn’t have a craftsman on site so it was sent off to San Francisco.

As I am living in Seoul, it probably will get to Hong Kong. I don’t expect that mine will be changing into new looking piece, but just hope it gets its aura back. T_T

Even if they have formula, there’s different batch of pigments and over the years pigments and colours get reformulated. Also depending on where the pigment and colours come from...it will never be 100 match. This is across all industry when it comes to Color and dye

I have a vintage black Kelly that has never been retouched. It has scratches and wear on the corners, what is the price to just retouch the bag?
Funny that fixing the cord and the handle cost the same! I thought the handle is a much bigger job. ( I bought a pre-loved Togo K32 and the Epsom Bearn long wallet after watching your videos. I like now you show the wear and tear of things - I know my Kelly and Bearn will last me a long long time!)

I have seen many touch up jobs in the middle of the bag at my own boutique. I wonder if this is a new rule!? Even on the Hermes YT channel they have a video of a repair person touching up the front of a bag. They did a beautiful job and the gold color is gorgeous!
I was surprised when he told me that too. So I guess it depends on the amount of retouching needed and the color. Thank you for your support 🙏🏻♥️

I have a little scuff at the front body of my epsom bolide which I thought the spa may be able to fix. It is quite unexpected that only the corners will be touched up 😔
You can still bring it to the store and see what they say. 😊
It makes sense Hermes will not retouch the more visible areas of the purse. The spa did a great job!

Bummer. I had no idea Hermes Spa does not clean the interior. I just purchased a Hermes Ostrich Fonsbelle in white. The exterior looks pretty good but the interior has a lot of pink color transfer inside along with other stains. I planned on having all that removed by Hermes.

I did ask the SA at Hermès and was told they will not clean the inside of the bag. She wouldn't give a reason only that it is their policy. Oh well. Lol. It's a ridiculous policy imo. Lol

180usd for the tirette fix? That was a rip-off. An entire clochette, including the tirette and bell costs 200usd here.
Sigh…that’s why I wasn’t sure. But they did a good job 👍🏻
@@winniey3407 I think the overall repair cost is not too bad. But on that one they definitely did something weird.. Also I don‘t think they re-sewed the handle. They just glued the edges and re-coated them. A new handle costs 1100usd, and taking the old apart-regluing and re-sewing is almost the same amount of work. So 180 would be very cheap for that.
@@winniey3407 Do you always take a very good look when buying to make sure it has not been altered or repaired outside of Hermès? I‘ve stepped into that hole a few times, and they refused the repair.. :/
