I know the exact Burton family house....In the 1960's, I lived on Evergreen Street down the street from Tim. Tim's dad and my dad were friends since they were in the 8th grade.. Tim was a great kid, and not weird at all...and indeed he loved horror television.. I watched 'Weird, Weird, World' and other horror shows with Tim, his brother and my brother many times.. A bit of trivia-- and no one ever called his mom 'Jean'--as noted, everyone called her 'Rickie' ...She indeed had a cool nickname ..The houses on Evergreen were all painted more pastel in the 1960's...
My husband grew up on the 1800 block of Evergreen in Burbank and he said the airplanes were very loud. I am a HUGE Tim Burton fan. It is so nice to know that they were mere blocks from each other.
So I grew up with him ! I lived 4 doors down on Evergreen St. Me, him, his brother Danny. His dad Bill work for the parks department for the City of Burbank his whole life. My parents were really good friends with his parents. Growing up on evergreen was like suburbia in the 60s-70s. There was kids everywhere running around. We all played together. On Christmas Day we were all out there with our new Christmas presents showing each other. Most of the families in this neighborhood one of the parents worked at Lockheed. Because in those times Burbank was a Lockheed Town. And yes we still have the studio's here in Burbank but the biggest employer in Burbank was the Lockheed manufacturing plants. It's was a great childhood on Evergreen St ! There is only like 1 family that I know of that still lived on evergreen today. And that is the people on Monterey Street an evergreen on the corner.
The "owl" is almost certainly a dove (I say this as someone who loved hearing "owls" as a kid and then later understood it was doves).
This is what it sounds like when doves cry....
Even better a Mourning Dove. Not kidding.
Yup. It's a dove.
Ditto, I went through the exact same thought evolution and still love the sound of these doves.
Morning doves
I love cemeterysss... I'm mexican and thts what we do when we visit our loved ones we get together with family n have picnics and celebrate 💜💗 we don't forget them.....love ur Videos!! U guys are groovy 💖
Love Tim Burton.Jessica looks so beautiful 💚🖤
HECK YES! Everything of Tim Burtons is amazing, but probably one of my all time favorites of his is Sleepy Hollow. I feel like that movie doesn't get enough attention but its sooo good!
It’s one of my all time favorites of his also. :)
Love that flick
I'm more of a old school fan... Beetlejuice, Batman, and Edward... His early work is the best
I love Jessica's style💜🖤🦇
Those houses remind me of the show The Wonder Years.
The houses used in The Wonder Years are also located in Burbank.
Yup the Wonder Years house is 2 blocks up the street from the High School on East Walnut, Winnie Cooper's house is on the same block. They also filmed scenes for Wonder Years at Burbank and Burroughs High.
The quote on Tim Burton's mom's grave stone is from author James Herriot who wrote the series of books "All Creatures Great and Small". His father's quote is from Shakespeare's Hamlet.
James Harriott my mom’s favorite author.
That is so cool!
It is neat seeing Tim Burton's childhood home. Where it all started. From a young age. Now he is a big movie director. I think Hitchcock would be pleased. That birds scare Michael. This is a good video.
Tim burton is amazing and so are you.
I love Tim Burton ty for showing this
Aww, this is my old neighborhood! I love Burbank and Tim Burton! Great peaceful neighborhood and parks are wonderful 😊
Okay Grimm you hit a home run posting Tim Burton today. He is “the man” I have something of him in every room of my house. Everyone had their favorites but I cannot pick just a single one. You guys are awesome, interesting, and a lot of fun. Be safe, and see you next one.
And OMG, Jessica (and her ensemble) is stunning!!😍
Awesome video keep up the good work on the big fan Tim Burton movies
Love Tim Burton but I love Jessica's outfit she always looks awesome 😍😍😍
Thank you 🥰🥀
I got a picture of the band Witching Hour with Tim Burton that I use as a screen saver on my phone 😊 . Tim is a legend!!😸
Yayyyy another video!
Still shocked you two decided to make the move to California considering everyone is trying to get out of that state. Glad to see you two are doing well. Thanks for the great content.
I wanna move to Cali. It’s just way too expensive and the gov sucks at his job
@@johndough3125 It's beautiful there. Weather is beautiful pretty much year round. The cost of living there is just insane.
It’s the best 💛
It’s horrible
More people need to chase their dreams. People that don’t chase their dreams grow up to be bitter and miserable. They look happy doing what they’re doing and that’s all that matters.
"Now cracks a noble heart. Goodnight, sweet prince, and flights of angels sing thee to thy rest." Hamlet by Shakespeare.
Shakespeare was amazing with words. I read Queen Elizabeth II tomb has the same quote on it.
❤❤❤
Totaly Edward Sissor hands 🤩 hes a legend my fav films growing up 🥰💜💚
I was not being a smart arsenal I've grown up with owls and still handle them wild ones too. Love to you and Jessica from me and summer in aberdeen scotland.xx❤
Thanks for the content 😭 you are appreciated
Looks a lot like the neighborhood in Edward Scissorhands. I grew up in one of these sort of lower-middle class suburban 'hoods also. (I had forgotten how gorgeous Tim's mom was.)
I went to Burbank High School back in the ‘90s before they remodeled the place. We would always wonder about Tim Burton and also Randy Rhoads who went to school there about the same time. In the library they had old year books, you could find their photos etc.
Thank you for sharing this story Of Tim Burton
That's funny that you're looking for his house. I grew up with Tim Burton and swim on water polo team with him at Burbank high because they didn't have a woman swim team or water polo. Sad thing is in math class he would draw pictures and put them on my desk and I wish to this day I would have saved them. Tim is an awesome guy.
Living in California especially down in the valley you tend to get used to the planes. They can be loud but you get used to them. Love this video. You did a really good job. Thank you for doing these videos
@ oh wow. Yeah I bet those helicopters sounded really loud. I live in the antelope valley and every so often you'll hear a sonic boom. It shakes the house. It's scary. But yeah like I said we do get used to it with the planes and everything. It's where we live
Nice one, thanks for the detailed vid!
awesome video love you guys
Since your in burbank you guys should check out Halloween Town store, the bearded lady, dark delicacy, and unique vintage. You guys will love it. Halloween Town doesn't let you film though but maybe if you ask the owner he might let you. Hopefully if you ask nicely 😉
We’ve gotten to visit all of those except Dark Delicacies, they’ve been closed whenever we venture this way. 🖤🥀🦇
Loved your guys video of where one of my heroes grew up. Tim's Batman movies (specifically) are what made me the filmmaker and artist I am today. This video totally made my day! :-D
I really enjoy your content and I am so happy to have found your yt channel. I am a big fan of Tim Burtons movies. My favorite movie is corpse bride that is a really good movie
Great thanks for the info 😊 much love from Huntington WV 🙏❤️😳🥰
The neighborhood definitely screamed Edward Scissorhands
Good video interesting as always
Love you guys!!
My Uncle lived on Evergreen too , not to far from that house . There are Two public high schools in Burbank , Burbank high and Burroughs high . The cemetery is on Victory blvd . I am 68 the end of this month and I went to Burbank high and it was around a long time , when I went there. They added on to the school since I was there . .Much bigger and very nice .
I Loved all things Horror movie and makeup as a kid omg and I still am that’s why I’m so Happy I found your Channel😁👍♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Burbank High School looked very different when Tim Burton went there. Several years ago the school underwent a major remodel. I didn't actually know him but I did go to BHS at the same time as Tim Burton. I believe he was a year ahead of me.
Love you guys
Forgive me about posting the same comment twice. Thought I was on this UA-cam channel that I have posted the first comments. That other comments that I post is just a UA-cam where I watch different things.
I am still in contact with Tim's younger brother Danny. Danny actually had kind of a rough life. But his brother Tim Burton bought an apartment building in Burbank we're his brother Danny lives and manages the building. Tim Burton kind of takes care of his brother. His brother was hit very hard when his mother and father died. So Tim bought the apartment building moved Danny and told him you're the manager here. And of course Danny it's free rent and gets paid to take care of the building ! So that is how Tim takes care of his brother, which is super cool
I think the sound off in the distance is a dove.. love the sound they make
Great story 😁👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Great episode.🤟🏻☠️🤙🏻👻X
I knew I recognised the burbank school, it’s where the school from the kids tv programme “victorious” was based:)
That show was filmed at Nickelodeon studios in Hollywood.
I happened to come across your videos recently. You guys are awesome! So informative and how awesome are the places you take us to! Thank you!
Baby Ghoul looks so beautiful love her outfit. Can't wait for BeetleJuice 2 to come out. Already saw the trailer looks awesome.

Big Fish, is a strange but very well put together and Unforgettable film.
Love all of his movies especially "Nightmare Before Christmas 🎄 🎃
AWESOME!!!! I Am A Big Tim Burton Fan!!! My Back Piece Will Be Clips From All His Movies!!!! Thank You!!!! 😲🙏💀👍😎🍺😃
I thought that too. Very Edward Scissorhands neighborhood!!
I think my favorite Tim Burton movie he directed is Alice in Wonderland but the other movie that I remember is Charlie and the chocolate factory and I've read the book and I love the movie.
Burton and a host of other movie makers really changed the culture of the US.
Historically films elevated the themes of bravery and patriotism. Think of John Wayne, Kirk Douglas, Burt Lancaster. The 60's gave us the anti-hero who was still brave and tough. Albeit not very patriotic - think Clint Eastwood in Kelly's Heroes.
From the 90's on the studios seemed to cater to the youth market. Pre-teens, tweens, and teens packed the movie houses of suburbia for date night of an excuse to hang out with friends. A great opportunity to mold young mind, and Hollywood did just that.
Movie makers inevitably started out in the HS drama club. Were regarded as weirdos and eccentrics by tougher, less sensitive students. Often ridiculed cruelly. Well those who did not fall into gay porn or become limo drivers got their revenge, and bigtime.
They made movie after movie with the same template. The weird outsider was really the morally elevated person. And the jock was always the asshole. Never been kissed, Lucas, 16 Candles, Pretty in Pink,... In most of these your typical suburban misfit was the hero. But Burton took it up a notch making his heroes really freaky. I can see a young AOC tearing up when Edward Scissorhands is allowed to throw down.
The genre worked because there will always be more outsiders than cool kids. But my goodness, did they ever beat it into the ground. However while I am not a fan of the elevation of freak nation, it is better than American Pie. Which I did not see, but vomited at the mere thought of it.
Now we are in a country where freak nation runs the show. And ironically they run the country with a much heavier hand than the mean football players ran your typical suburban HS. Cancelation awaits those of us who will not salute the freak flag. They will not gulag us, simply take away our privileges.
I guess we better learn to make movies that don't suck. Politics is downstream of culture. And we are all downstream of Tim Burton. But most people don't know it.
great thx for location
So excited about this video! Absolutely love Tim Burton! 🖤 Also, that street he grew up on is almost identical to my childhood neighborhood in San Diego!
what you think is an owl is a morning dove great video keep you the great work
I graduated Burbank High in 1998 and it looked nothing like that. What you see now is after a huge renovation that happened in the early 2000's.. Check out some Google images to see what it really looked like. Other facts: They filmed some episodes of the Wonder Years here just before I attended. The Wonder Years house is also 2 blocks from the High School and down Burbank Blvd at Victory is the Burger King from the opening scene from Back to the Future.
Cool 😎 vid
A excellent veiw! Nicely done my friend's the Grimms! Luv&Peace Cheers Tim Burton is a total Genius! Amazing work!
I actually enjoy the planes as well. They’re also peaceful to me.
I felt like I touched the “2001” Monolith when I saw his designs for Gurgi. The stuff he did from the 80’s - ‘90’s are stone cold classics.
Regarding the brass band, it’s the dying wish of a lot of mexican people to have a band at their funeral. It’s an old tradition in many parts of Mexico to have a brass band for males and a mariachi for females. I went to a friend’s funeral and his parents had a band playing. I use to be in a band like the one you saw and my church choir too. I played at many a funeral myself.
I grew up in Burbank. You should visit the childhood home of Randy Rhoads on Amherst Street.
Very informative. Loved the neighborhood by the way
My fave movie of his is Ed Wood.
Jon Cryer of 2 and a half men made a joke of the Burbank airport. He was supposed to move out of Charlie's house and into Burbank and hated it. Happy Halloween y'all 😎 Fascinating that Mrs Burton's headstone has the titles of James Herriot's books.
Regarding the tree in the last portion, My fiancé works in the horticulture business and he says that tree is an Eastern Red Bud
dude I love your chanel so much if we could meet man omg we would have so much in common.i just turned 18 and I freaking live exploring history marks
You guys never stop...I love y'all...y'all always keep me on the edge..
Great video can we get some ed wood filming locations
Fun fact: ozzy Osborne’s old guitarist randy Rhodes went to burbank high. My friends and I also grew up in burbank
I think that's a lonesome dove not an owl ..with all respect we have plenty here in KY. Hey have you guys been to scarefest it's this weekend...love your UA-cam page . Me and my wife are fans, very interesting.
Another cool and interesting, insightful video...ace 🤟
Keep up the great work. Stay safe. Love and peace from Liverpool, England 🙏
Much love back to you Liverpool 🖤🥀🦇
He also worked on the movie TRON for Disney.
I love Jessica's shoes. :)
Her boots.*
when trying to find a specific address try checking tax records on the property and for really old address from 1940 and earlier the us census is a great place...
Those planes, geez.
That’s a pigeon you’re hearing, we have a lot of them here. Owls aren’t out much during the day. But cool vlog!
Jessica looks fantastic in that dress.
I watched the movie The Changeling (not Tim Burton movie) about Walter Collins, The chicken coop murders. Would love for you to do an episode on that story of Gordon Stuart Northcott. Or even the first serial killer H.H. Holmes☠️
Thank for the beautiful grim scenery we love Jessica ur a lucky man
Great video Michael oh that a wood pigeon you could hear not a owl wasn't a beetle juice 2 was on the books at one point be nice
Pretty good video. Great work, guys.😎👍
Did you know Tim Burton was in the movie Hoffa? He was one of the dead rioters in the casket.
🖤👍🏻🖤👍🏻🖤
Hi Edweana Scissor Hands 😁👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
👍👍💕😊
OH MY GOD! One of the best videos ever! I really really love Tim Burton!! Kiss from italy guys!! I love u
Looks like where the movie The 60s was filmed
There is only one family that still lives on that street that lived there from the 60s and 70s. And that is the people across the street on the corner of Monterey and Evergreen. My grandma and grandpa as we called them just died about 7-8yrs ago. And a lot of us still hung out at that house which is right up the street on the other side of the street from the Burton's family house. After Grandma and Grandpa. Dad only left one other person that house I talked about. There is also one other house up the street that still owned by the same family from back in the 60s. But the man who is in his eighties now I don't think can live alone anymore and lives with one of his children in Burbank. It's all very interesting.
To me Tim Burton is a GENIUS
Agreed. 🥰🖤
Hello friends thank you for another great video. Love your content stay spooky 🖤🖤
