Thank you for this beautiful video and for sharing your journey with us. I was moved to tears. I just finished the Blue Mountain section (yesterday!) after three days and it’s safe to say I’m officially obsessed and can’t wait to continue my own journey.
I can't say enough good things about this. Beautiful. Inspiring. Touching. You have these memories with your dad and you will treasure them. The Bruce trail is amazing. Thank you for sharing!
This is a beautiful video. I’m starting my official first hike on Saturday to begin my end to end adventure. Starting on a Beaver Valley section. Congratulations on completing the end to end with your dad. What an incredible experience.
Congratulations. Such happy moments of the trail. I heard it get harder as you travel north and you definitely showed that aspect. Walking with your dad will be something you both remember with fondness. Thanks for sharing your story.
This is beautiful Jacob, my goodness. I don’t know what it is about your work but it inspires me to the core. I always feel like I am watching a beautiful movie. Congratulations to you and your father on the completion of the trail. I’m sure your grandfather would be so proud to see you both spend such quality time together.
Thank you so much Aimée! I’m always surprised to remember that we finished the trail, and while editing I definitely got emotional looking back through the years. I’m so glad it could be inspiring!
Just happened to find your video - it's so well made - great storytelling... mesmerizing. You deserve more subs/ likes/ views dude. Keep it up!!! Looking forward to seeing more from you.
I do hiking but I’ve never been on the Bruce trail. I’ve only been to Ontario once, and Quebec twice. I also have a hiking channel and like watching what others post.
For hiking the whole trail? There are not many places to camp along the trail, and you’re not allowed to camp in undesignated areas. So you’ll need to find a way to get to and from the trail every day. Bring a lot of water. There are sometimes not many places to fill up or streams to purify. I carried about 3 litres for a day. We hiked about 20km/day If you haven’t seen a marker in a little while then go find one. It’s usually well marked, but in our first year we did an extra 4km one day going down a side trail. Have fun? Haha, just enjoy the beautiful sights.
This is probably the best Bruce Trail short doc on UA-cam. Jacob you deserve an award for this. Thanks for sharing your story.
So good
