  • A five year journey has finally come to an end. It took us 43 days to finish this 900km long trail. Already it is feeling like a dream I had long ago. What an amazing experience this has been for my Dad and I, and we couldn't have done it without all of the people who have helped us along the way.
It was cool to look back at my footage from 5 years ago when I was filming with nothing more than my Iphone. It's amazing how much can change in what feels like such a short time.
I hope this serves as inspiration to grab a friend or family member and to go out on an adventure together.
Here's to a trail full of lifelong memories.

This is beautiful Jacob, my goodness. I don’t know what it is about your work but it inspires me to the core. I always feel like I am watching a beautiful movie. Congratulations to you and your father on the completion of the trail. I’m sure your grandfather would be so proud to see you both spend such quality time together.

Thank you so much Aimée! I’m always surprised to remember that we finished the trail, and while editing I definitely got emotional looking back through the years. I’m so glad it could be inspiring!

I do hiking but I’ve never been on the Bruce trail. I’ve only been to Ontario once, and Quebec twice. I also have a hiking channel and like watching what others post.

      For hiking the whole trail?
There are not many places to camp along the trail, and you’re not allowed to camp in undesignated areas. So you’ll need to find a way to get to and from the trail every day.
Bring a lot of water. There are sometimes not many places to fill up or streams to purify. I carried about 3 litres for a day. We hiked about 20km/day
If you haven’t seen a marker in a little while then go find one. It’s usually well marked, but in our first year we did an extra 4km one day going down a side trail.
Have fun? Haha, just enjoy the beautiful sights.
