  • Dr. Donner interviews Karen Van Hoesen, MD about her extensive knowledge of stingrays, sting avoidance, and treatment options.

    I have worked with Dr Van Hoesen in the ER at UCSD MC, in years past. Amazing Dr and very knowledgeable. It was great to see a familiar face when I was researching stingray treatments.

    I know this is rather old, but I would love to see more sea level - especially sea side - tips/suggestions/management - jellyfish or lionfish sting treatment, for example.

    my friend got stung. saught medical attention. is still suffering 6 month's later from that sting, are there any recommendations out there for follow up help?

    I got stung by a stingray taking id off the hook after catching it a week ago sunday. I still have redness and swelling also pain should i go to the Dr.
