Maria and good that you call it out as it is as i have been noticing Island thinking that he was acting out alot. Its good that you are addressing it and nip it in the bud before it escalates even more. All kids will try it on and if they think they can get away with it they will keep doing it. Guys enroll Island in a swim School!!! He’s a natural and the way he gravitates to the water is just simply amazing.
Island continues to amaze me with the fearlessness of the water. I think he will become a great swimmer and represent Australia. He is that stage of his life wanting his way, but he is still an adorable kid. Continue to enjoy ypurselves and stay safe. Love you guys.

Remove what he likes as discipline. We'll been there guys don't be disheartened or feel your alone. What works for one may not work for another but most time removing the favourite things when they misbehave is a pretty could tool . Kids are pretty good at manipulating so that's why you have to be consistent.

Maria and Tyrone. Hes at that age of testing/ understanding boundaries. Just keep consistent and on top of his behaviour. He may also be tired at times when hes acting up. He may need a regular nap during the day.
I was about to say what Tyrone said..when it comes to the food. I think they feel they need to give foreigners food they're used to/ can eat. I think most visitors would struggle if they were served taro/yam/ breadfruit etc everyday.
Perhaps if you asked them they may do a special traditional dush for you?
They should have it as an option on a menu,so visitors can choose to experience if they want to. 😊👍
Homestays are a thing and just about everywhere. Usually cheaper too. Great for a more authentic experience for sure. I've seen some homestays options in J.A too.
