- Exploring BAHAY NA BATO of LUNA, LA UNION | Stone House & Pebble Beach Destination | Philippines
Let's explore the Bahay na Bato Open Art Gallery of Luna, La Union! This is now one of the most popular tourist attraction in the municipality of Luna located at barangay Nalvo Norte, which is just approximately 10 minutes drive away from Luna's Town Plaza. It used to be a resthouse of Dr. Edison and Dra. Purita Chan Noble that was turned into a tourist attraction and opened to the public in 2014. Bahay na Bato is made from the beach pebbles and stones that are abundant in the area. In fact, the municipality of Luna where this house was built is considered as the "Pebble Capital of the North." This is because the town's entire shore is covered and filled with pebbles of various shapes and sizes.
Entrance fee to Bahay na Bato is only 50 Pesos per person. open daily from 7 PM until 6 PM. And it is also located very close to two other similar attraction - Kamay na Bato and Bato De Luna Art Gallery

Ganda po, sayang naman, ang layo sa amin.
I've seen a lot of elemental entities, so bizzare....
That's part of pre-colonial Filipino tradition. Some of the statues are called anito which refers to nature spirits. Because of colonization, this tradition is mostly erased and unknown to a lot of filipinos especially low-landers. But you can see miniatures of this often in Baguio like souvenir shops.
Something different to see
