They last a really long time and would be a perfectly safe bet for any car buyer, fist time buyer or not. My kumpare had a 3rd gen City before back when we were still in college circa 1997, and we rode that all through college til we each had jobs, got married etc. That car was solid even until he sold it and got a 2nd gen Jazz, 16 yrs later (he didn't get another City that time because City was going through an ugly duckling phase, all the way to the 6th gen pre-face-lift). No engine issues with that car though and lots of barkada memories. With the new City now, it's more mature, has a bigger space and classier even. There's only 2 PMS visits a year or every 10,000kms (although if you do make long drives everyday, I'd suggest getting the oil changed much earlier). Air-conditioning is non-issue. The only drawback I see and I'm just being nitpicky is yeah, the price can be above the regular Joe's reach and there's a bit of a supply issue (at least here in Cebu, waiting time of about a month or 2). Your best bet is a 2nd hand City, if your bugdet is tight but stick with the face-lift 2017 and up. Resale value is stellar, as well. At this time though, at 1M for a budget sedan, and so many other brands are also at this price point is crazy (but I guess this is the new normal) and that's why a lot are going the crossover route...I mean, for 200k more or so, you'd have a Mazda 2 (a lovely subcompact and that delicious Skyactiv engjne) or a Nissan Kicks ePower even which can give you at least 24kml (I've seen others do 40kml even) and a crossover and an electric motor driven vehicle, at that. The City is a top choice though regardless.
Hey Reygan! Nice video, very informative. If you were to choose, which is better as a first car, this Honda City or the Nissan Almera? Just for all around driving.
The 2023 Hyundai Palisade can be seen at Hyundai Pasig dealership, the pricing has been increased by P540,000. Still retaining the 2.2L straight-4 turbo diesel motor delivering 197hp and 441Nm of torque. Power is still sent to all four wheels because of Hyundai's HTRAC all-wheel drive system via an 8-speed automatic.
Although I know it is a no brainer City wins with engine alone. But I am considering the extended trunk space jn Raize when rear seats are folded. Ground clearance as well.
This is how a subcompact should be. Toyota may be reliable too, like honda. But let's be honest, their subcompact is rubish. Even the top spec variant. Right now, either you go with city or almera. Everything else is just 💩. Maybe the new gen vios will be way better. But it's not here yet.
Watching this video is deceiving. I don't know why the host "mindsets" this tagline that this car is the Ideal First Car. Not all aspect / angle of things to consider was presented when buying a car. Maybe its a paid advertisement. IF it is the case, then the credibility of the host will become questionable. ... Buying a first car is simply not buying a car. Newbies, have to consider not only the car itself but the many other aspect of having a car such as low maintenance cost, good after sales service and reliable engineers. Honda is expensive to maintain, bad after sales and not so reliable engineers.

First time buying a car and I am torn if I should choose Honda City V or Toyota Raize G? Any insight is welcome!

Nice one! indicating the price on the first part of the video.
Glad you like it!
this is my dream car if brandnew. sadly i cant afford it. people here in comments may I ask what do you guys for living ? 😄
@Christian Ira Toledo same here 🔥
I hope you could one day!
First! honda city 97 exi rin ang first car namin.
My only concern for this car is the very low ground clearance compared to other sedans
It'll give great battle scars!
@@polovw89 TOTALLY!!!!!
one of my favorite sedan
Any comment on city’s ground clearance of 135mm? Im a bit worried if i’ll be carrying 4-5 passengers and then here comes the speed bumps
It can handle most speed bumps and ramps in the metro.
@@ReygansRides thanks Reygan!! Nice vids by the way :)
Sir Reygan! Awesome review as always.
I'm torn between the City RS and a 2nd hand Civic RS.
As a young professional, which car should I go for?
Depends on your drive style. City for relaxed drives and better fuel economy, civic for speed but lesser fuel economy.
I've always wondered why the Honda City isn't available to the Japanese and American markets.
It's honda grace in japan.
@@knav5216 I'm talking about the newest model. The previous one was sold in Japan up until 2 years ago.
@@knav5216 the current city and the current fit in japan shares the same platform
Hello sir. Is there a manual trans in a city?
Good job sir.... Nice review... 👍 More power to your channel.... Stay safe and always stay happy.... GOD BLESS US ALL🙏🧒
What would you say for honda hrv s for a starter car?
gs2 q sana mag honda. prro nttskot ako sa mga parts n2. di daw madali makita ? at mahal pa 22o po ba mga current owners ?
Hindi naman mahal ang parts galing lang thailand kaya mukhang mahal
25km/L with ECOMODE always On?
yes, and a light foot
JDM!
How about Raize as 1st time car owner?
Need to drive it for a longer time to give an assessment.
hi Reygan can make a Comparo between this Honda city and Nissan Almera,
If the opportunity presents itself. 👍
Sir Reygan gud day
kamukha rin ba sya ng Honda City 1.5 S CVT
Yes, same look
Too sad, manual has been discontinued. :(

You obviously don't like Hondas. For the record, the video is not a paid advertisement.
@@ReygansRides I like Honda before. I have 2 Hondas .. City and CRV. Car is OK. Service is Bad.
