Kerry, Dude thanks for getting me started but there's one thing you are missing. Your first chord Ab -7. You have to add an E note on top. If you listen there is a change in the second measure. So it is like Ab -7 add E, then just Ab-7, then to the C# 7 and then the Ab diminished, then the Gb -7, then the A minor. You can here from the first measure to the second measure there is a change but it is slight and what you're hearing is the Ab-7 with the E on top. the second measure still is Ab-7 but with the normal Eb note on top. Days later - now I'm thinking that C#7 is really a C#7 b9/b13.

That’s right... there’s a downward scale in the bass line but the rest after the C#7 is correct
Came back to this because I’m intermediate now and can do more than I could a year again.

Does anyone know how to do the passing chords. I got the diminished chords bit but everything else is a blur
I know I'm late but I hear the first chord as an Emaj7/9. I might be wrong but I don't hear the first chord as a minor.
You are right the first chord is different but it still has the Ab in the root so I think it is an Ab-7 add E
