The truth is that Blue Lock is a diamond in the rough precisely because it goes beyond the rational, personally very few animes make me feel what Blue Lock transmits to you. It's like a slap of reality telling you, what are you doing with your life? Aren't you supposed to come here to prove to yourself that you are the best? Why do you compete if it's not to win? Is losing here the same as dying? It sounds like a lot of fiction but that's how it should be in our lives to give it a meaning to live at 110% that yes many times we will fail but that should not be an impediment to follow your "Ego"
Isagi is a GOAT as a protagonist; arguably, he's one of the best new-gen characters alongside Yuji. Blue Lock may not be the most realistic when it comes to football, but it's real in terms of life. It boosts your self-confidence and makes you realize that you can be the strongest. Plus, you get multiple lessons from each character, but you have to take their best qualities because no one in Blue Lock is perfect. Barou, for example, teaches great discipline and hard work, but he's also too egoistic. He shows that there are moments in life when you want to give up on your dream, but just imagine what you'd become if you didn't. His ideology forced him to become a better version of himself. The point is, you need to take these strategic lessons from Blue Lock and apply them in real life it can actually help.
That’s the most beautiful thing about Blue Lock and something I ALWAYS keep in mind while reading it so I can apply them to my own life. Thanks for this nice summary.
while isagis specific goal is to be the best striker i would not be suprised if eos he also takes snuffys title considering they have very similar talents
The thing about Blue Lock is that it just doesn't go with all for one. No, it goes with the ideology that if you want something, you must take it even if you need to hurt a few people to get it, and from what I've seen about Ao ashi you need others to see yourself become a good player and teamplayer in the game and from those two ideologies I love that two of them give us that "All for One and One for All" vibes it just shows us what would happy if an egoist was given the chance to be a teamplayer like Aoi and an soon to be Egoist like Isagi to become the best striker against the world.
The thing is in blue lock it doesn’t follow a traditional striker, they embody a more complete striker. If you look at it isagi excellent at playmaking and doesn’t a bit a defending aswell.. also he was morphed at a faster rate so he always gonna be better
I haven't seen much of blue lock but as an avid ao ashi manga reader I would like to make a case for him. Every match Ashi plays in is a learning experience on how to become a better defender and playmaker. It is mentioned many times that Ashi doesn't have the technical skill at all but his vision and playmaking ability is at top level, it's recognised by the big names like fukuda, kuribayashi, the esperion J1 team and world competition players so it's definitely bordering on world class. So therefore I reckon if Ashi has a good team around him that can trust him and his unconventional plays, he would find ways of stopping Isagi or use his own experiences to learn how to make Isagi less effective as a striker. But if we're talking about pure 1v1s? Isagi is winning hands down but tbf that man has damn near superpowers. No disrespect to blue lock at all ofc.
That’s a great way to put it. As I’ve stated, Overall as a player, Aoi will be way better than Isagi. Isagi has proven himself to be a fantastic Midfielder, but an even better striker, his metavision allows Isagi to be near world class level in terms of vision and even his technical skills have been increasing along with his shooting, but it still has room to grow. However, Aoi has way more experience in playing in more positions and in more versatile ways, your correct that he lacks technical skill, but makes up for it in his vision and playmaking. That’s why the EOS Aoi will be the best player in the world in terms of versatility in the field and the use of his teammates, while Isagi will only surpass him in 1v1 match ups and being the penalty box in front of a goal. It’s these different philosophies on how a player wants to be built and utilized on the field is what I love about both of these series. And I wish the best for the both of them. Let’s hope Blue Lock Season 3 doesn’t suck and Ao Aishi comes in for a better Season 2 than Blue Lock. 👍
As like you saw , Isagi is aiming to be a complete Striker, despite the focus Seems Like "being a Pure Striker" he doesn't Have The physique or power to it, but being the egoist he is, he Isn't afraid of teamplay and coordinate, he is Good At 1-2's and he can maintain short passes in a high gear, despite being focused on be a Finisher, he showed a lot of feats who makes him a good Box-to-Box Midifelder and Raumdeuter (since he is a RMF for now) and good tatical defensive feats to help on defense third or do a tatical defensive style and give time to the defensive players set up (Hiori ,Raichi, Gagamaru, Kunigami) and also made them participate of the counterattack. He wants to be a Foward but with these honed and trained Skills he got playing a DF/MF/FW in 1st Selection, Wing and Anchor in 2nd/3rd Selection, AMF for Blue Lock and RMF/RW (Now honorary CF) will make him a Complete Foward, not better than Ashito, but a goal oriented Complete Foward.
Well to be fair Isagi has better defensive feats than 99% of the actual defenders in blue lock😭🙏. He blocked barou shots 4 times in Ubers match , blocked rin shots 3 times in pxg match, made a crap ton of interceptions in all the games and he blocked a shot from the n.2 in the world which even Noel noa couldn’t predict. I believe at the end of the series he will be a combination of snuffy and Noah if that makes sense.
That would be something I actually want to see. Despite Isagi wanting to be a pure powerful striker, he has SO MANY feats in other positions, he might as well go for being the best overall player in the world who is slightly better in the forward position. 😅
This is a tough one! I think it's better to compare them in game. Isagi has the mentality and adaptability, Ao has the IQ and playmaking. I would say that Ao would definitely make it tough for Isagi most of the game, but ultimately when the going gets tough, I think Isagi would win. Mostly because he's the kind of guy that wins you games. He's the "one" that comes in clutch when you need him. Love Ao, I think if he actually existed he would dominate as an attacking midfielder. He would be a generational talent. But Isagi just has the mentality to fight and push through a game and find a way to score! While I prefer Ao, you can't discredit Isagi's ability as a clutch striker, I have to give him his flowers!
Blue lock gives you this delusion that everyone good at football and everyone can make it pro. Blue lock provides this unrealistic expectation that average players are able to compete with even world class players and pro players. Ao ashi on the other hand gives you a reality check. Respectfully not everyone gonna make it the show highlights that. The esperion youth team trial barely anyone gets into them highlighting how hard it is to get into academy football. The match in that arc shows the skill gap between your average players and academy footballers
In Blue Lock, Considering a ton of players were being dropped early on or even switched up there goals (both intentional or unintentionally), I don’t see where they can give off this delusion, unless your talking about the NEL, but even then not a single player during each match was able to compete with a genuine pro. It’s realistic not in how they play (although most of what they do is actually real but super exaggerated), it’s the mentality aspect of Blue Lock that people tend to relate to, not the competition itself. In terms of competition and making it in the Football world, yes you are correct that Ao Aishi would be a better viewpoint of what Football is like. By the way, I’m not defending Blue Lock, but telling my perspective. That goal by Loki still has me saying “ain’t no way that’s real!” So I understand what you mean at times. 😅 Hope this helps.
I like the life lessons that Blue Lock and of course the action but Ao Ashi really is more technical and more realistic? (Just because of that doesnt make ir better) im just saying their good points

Yes, in terms of dealing with real life Blue Lock gives some pretty darn lessons, it motivated me to change my life and reignited my self confidence

Ao Ashi is pretty good but Blue Lock is just pure hype with an actual logical power system, Ao Ashi doesn't even get close to Blue Lock
Both are great in their own way.
“Logical power system” you feel this way because you’re comparing two different styles of football.
This is like saying "Who would win, Mike Tyson or Goku?"
🤣🤣🤣
