Excerpt from Jan Martin McGuire's book JOURNEY sharing one of her elephant encounters. Eye to eye with an elephant while on Safari! Jan experiences a wild up-close experience with a mother elephant and her calf whilst on safari in Tanzania's Tarangire National Park.
The safari, organized by Jan and James, was of a group of artists that were gathering reference for artwork that would be used to raise funds and awareness against poaching "Artists Ambassadors Against Poaching" spent 14 days in Tanzania.
