Best performance of Coma on Not in this Lifetime tour so far...impressive. Speaking of comas, that's what it look like the crowds in....everybody's standing there like fucking zombies.
That's the way it is everywhere nowadays. Everyone wants to remember stuff through a device instead of their brain. At least they used their voices, it got pretty damn loud in there.
Axl actually sounded really good on this tune. I can tell he's trying to sing it with his classic rasp, and some parts come out better than others, but he did a great job this time.
He actually doesn't use rasp on purpose. I mean, some of it might be a decline of his ability from aging, but he said in the China Exchange interview that he wanted to sing cleaner for a while now, but that people didn't react well to it.
Agustin Gloger Okay. Well, number one, I was paraphrasing what he said. Number two, if you listen to what he said afterwards (I have the interview open right now in another tab), he said that he thought it was good for him to do to be even better at what he is doing now (timestamp in the "China Exchange" interview is around 14:15). So, any rational person would realize that he wanted to do this for general vocal purposes and not just for Chinese Democracy. Hence, my comment. Also, it wouldn't really make sense for Axl to switch between rasp and clean vocals constantly if he "lost his voice", would it? Point being, my comment still stands as being accurate. He removes rasp on purpose.
TheTruthIsTheWay11 He hasn't lost his voice in general, however, his mid-range is nothing like it used to be. Examples: Coma, Sweet child, You could be mine. They are all sung with a falsetto now, and don't sound like they used to at all.
wow! im still blown away theyre playing this song, and hitting it hard. when axl stands still he pulls it off. imagine if they threw dont damn me in the set list. its in a register i think axl could handle.

What I'm trying to say is that I think he is doing that on purpose.
