Last I looked (Probably when I got mine!) the price of the Greenberg book was around $19.95 or so. There's another Lionel repair book to keep an eye out and it was published by K-Line of all people. Essentially a hardcover version of the Greenberg book I lucked into mine at a train show for about $25. Since it's a hardcover I grabbed it immediately, paperbacks do have a habit of self-destructing when they get old although it's not as bad as it used to be. If there's railbook dealers at any train show you attend always give them a look, there can be some real gold in those racks!
Hey, thanks for watching! Greenberg did make a repair manual for Prewar Lionels. I had an old copy. I do not know if they are still reprinting it. I had given my copy away so I can't provide anymore info on it.
Thanks again !

I just wish it was larger. But yes it's money well spent if you work on your own stuff.
Perhaps the best investment that can be made by anyone seeking to repair and maintain postwar Lionels.
Can you recommend any prewar standard gauge manuals?
