It's a racualization of labor. They to it to mexicans too. People think we will cast off our dignity to immigrate here and work the jobs no one else wants to do. They think we will pick fields do gardening, construction and any other job that is erroneously perceived as undesirable. We just do work because it's available to us but we do have aspirations to do more than fulfill a stereotype.

Under the Biden administration the US gained 14.8m jobs. Now, we havent talked about the percentage of those jobs that pay a livable wage because, in my opinion, that matters. But the fear mongering about so-called black jobs being taken if Biden wins another term is crazy considering that another Trump administration means there arent any jobs to take, if history is any indication. Biden and Trump aside, the most significant job growth in the US has ALWAYS happened during Democratic administrations. Btw, all of this info is easily accessible via the dept of labor.
