I don't know what it's called in this revival, but for the old Raul Julia version it's called the ballad of Immoral Earnings. The lyrics change with every new translation though so it could be called something different now.
Alan Cumming is unattainable on so many levels it's ridiculous- but god! He's gorgeous! I'd give anything to have him look at me with those smoldering eyes...
they also worked together in 1999 on the film Titus Andronicus, which is a very good film, and they worked together for The Tempest, which should be coming out sometime this year. Didn't know about the Spiderman musical. You think it'll be good? I mean, I saw the Lion King on Broadway, but does anyone know what to expect?
@BryonAWitHonors vampire musical: Tanz der Vampire (dance of the vampires) . it was a flop on broadway, but still a big success in Germany. Made after polanski's film. its cool. also, Interview with a vampire was made into a musical too, it flopped.
@hanshandslover why? Twilight the books are actually not poorly written from what I've heard, yeah the movies you can complain about but that was made by MTV, i'm sure a musical or play would be very different from the movies entirely. Personal I think a play about vampires would be amazing. Vampire diaries would be better as a play because of the story of the two brothers, and different scenes in different times.

I love in this performance all there is on stage for the most part of it is Alan and Cyndi singing in costume...now THAT'S a performer who can fill up such space with nothing more than themselves
This is so powerful, behold the power of the theatre.
I love this! The both have that smokiness in their voices that makes them so perfect for these roles.
ALAN ROCKS!
omg...i wish i saw this with alan cumming!! hes amazing!!
he is so fantastic as an actor. and also tight pant.

Wow, this is amazing! Their chemistry is great. :)
I think i've seen this at least 10 times in the past day. :D
he's amazing.
why can this not be on CD?!!!?!?!?!?!
Cyndi Lauper is soooohhh under-rated
This song is epic.

He would be good in the phantom of the opera. Good man :)
I want this recorded!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did anyone else catch Alan's sexy smile at 2:35? :D

@MargoJean25
Its called the Tango Ballad. Though they changed some of the lyrics for this revival.
She is 53 there!! She looks amazing
I know this is rather late, but I believe that this song is called the "Tango Ballad".

He's going to play Sebastian.
tim curry was brilliant in that role, but i think alan would do a great job as well! and he'd look brilliant in the make-up too :P
How many english versions are there of this piece?

Do you think he could play Frank 'n' Furter in Rocky Horror?
@BryonAWitHonors Buffy Season 6 Episode 7 Once More With Feeling

What did he do to his hair? XD
Sorry but he married his husband in England last year.
ah, but he was also married to his wife before. So there is a chance xD
Accents aren't necessary, Three Penny Opera is Brechtian.
This has got to be the most terrible version of this music I have ever heard.
I never get tired of watching him! He was born an entertainer.
i absolutely love this video cause we can her Alan's actual accent!!! and the way he sings in this....it's so sultry and alluring.
*que the swoons*
for some reason this song reminds me of a song from night mare before christmas
Lydia Sanderson agreed
Lydia Sanderson, Jack & Sally’s song? Yea, kind of gives me their vibe.
Alan Cumming is so amazing and Cindi Lauper is so not.
Not only is Cumming great so is Lauper. Incredible. I wish I had seen this when it was on Broadway.

@meaganlkoonce - Zuhälter-Ballade (Ballad of Immoral Earnings) Often translated into the Tango Song.
cyndi's voice inherently has a world-weary sound, so she can pull this singing role off quite well...and alan is alan, enough said :D
WOW. What sparks! I hope they had fire extinguishers nearby!
You can definitely hear his thick Scottish accent through his singing voice, and can even hear her New York accent as well..
I absolutely love him!
I want a cast recording of this show so badly.
Sooooo sexy!!!
Handsome,an accent, and he can sing!!!!!
The combination of all things I find awesome! lol
If there ever was a biography movie done about Maynard James Keenan from Tool/A Perfect Circle, Alan Cumming would be perfect for the part!!!
So bummed I missed this production, but I had to chuckle; looking at them here, I thought they were singing a Sid and Nancy musical.
@MargoJean25 Twilight the musical? Oh god don't give them ideas, it'd be the end of the world
@meaganlkoonce Whenever I've encountered it, it's been entitled "The Ballad of the Pimp".
@adaycalledzero Amazing indeed! I would never have guessed! She's great.
Breathtakingly well performed!
i've heard that he's scottish. if he is, is he using his accent in this
So disappointing... The translation just made the syntax so difficult.
What part is Alan going to play in "The Tempest?"
i saw this guy with mr bean on blind date show
Thought he channeled joe strummer when we saw this live.
He’s handsome.
I love Alan Cummings and Cyndi was awesome!
he looks like scar.
:D
Great!
WHAT?! Tell me more!
@heartache46 omg yess!
hmmmmm
Which song is this?
+Tyler Edwards 'Ballad Of The Pimp'. (To the best of my knowledge) :)
knocking shop tango from threepenny opera
Oh God, can you imagine a Twilight musical??? "EDddddddward, I'm clumsy and need your creeeeeepy stare!"
PUKE! Let's not give them any ideas.
