Gurl, I still have flashbacks when I first pressed my hair with all that blue magic grease, and my banyangs were in my hand 🤣🤣🤣. No, thank you, ma'am, but thanks for sharing, and as always, your hair is gorgeous.

I've never had a relaxer. This is the way I've straightened my hair my entire life. I don't like electric tools. Give me a hot comb or a Marcel iron. Lasts longer and gets straighter. Haven't used heat in years, but that's the only way I will.
ETA: use the back of the comb. The teeth don't straighten.

The comb part doesn't straighten your hair. The comb part is similar to the comb chase method. Press the hot comb part down to straighten your roots and the comb will chase. By comb ing your hair you are achieving absolutely nothing.

I use to get my hair pressed . Use to use ultra sheen silk press and Apex glossitina. Lasted a week . Too much fuss now but in its day the hot comb was everything if you had someone who knew what they were doing . A good hair presser can have your hair looking like you got a perm a bad hairdresser will leave you messed up half nippy half straight . Lol

Hello Niara, hope you are well ☺️, you always look well and polished ❤. Just to let you know , it’s not the teeth from the comb that is straightening your hair , it’s the base / bar / back of the comb. My mother bless her was a hairdresser back in the days and as a child I used to watch her pressing her clients hair and I noticed that she didn’t use the hot comb like you would use a comb . The method was like she was ironing the hair with the back of the comb and the teeth of the comb as it went down towards the hair strand it was separating the hair for heat distribution., sort of like the chasing method. I showed my mother your video and she was smiling. My mum used to just pass the hot come through my hair just once and lightly because my hair type is very soft with medium waves. I remember my mother was so strict with her clients . If you hadn’t washed your hair the day / night before she wouldn’t do your hair and she could tell if you hadn’t washed it 😅. Keep up your contents, I really enjoy them. 💖
