- 3 years ago myself, trevor and cory took a trip to Montana hunting with our good friend Tom and enjoying big sky country. After a few days learning the river and figuring out where a 24ft sled can and cant go. We were running some skinny water and found a slough loaded with Montana greenheads. This was one of many hunts we will cherish the memories of our beloved gun dog Caly. Caly was tragically taken from us way to soon and her mannerisms, drive and flat out GO shine through her offspring Ripley and Raven. Caly was the dog who set the bar high for all others to come. Enjoy Montana!

What cool spot man. not a place you normally imagine wads of Mallards but the birds were definitely there. my bucket list keeps getting longer

I am blessed to live on the NW side of Montana. Had such a great last 2 years of hunting. Had to fight some mild weather most of the season but still had great hunts. Glad you enjoyed your time out here!

Really like what you wrote about your dog. A cowboy friend of mine once said to me " every man is entitled to one good horse and one good dog in this lifetime " then he paused and with a tear in his eye said" i feel sorry for every other horse and dog ta needs to luve up to that standard" my dogs will always be named Sally and not one yet has lived up to the original.

TeamDeadFowl i went up there to visit, I was on the west side of the state and in Glacier, I’m home now back in Texas hunting. Didn’t get to hunt up there

@@TeamDeadFowl Mainly mallards and teals. Then a bit of everything: wigeons, pintails, gadwalls and also snipes.

Hey Hayden unfortunately Caly got hit by a car in front of my brothers house. It was the hardest thing to deal with and everyone who as hunted with her came and paid their respects. She really was incredible, this short little video doesn't even do her justice on the things she could do. Thanks for watching our hunt!.

Sorry that your dog died, 8 years goes by quick. Gotta start breeding dogs for longevity because it's awfully hard to say goodbye to a good waterfowl dog.

@@TeamDeadFowl Yes it is ashame they do not live as long as we do maddie had a long career on our eastern shore u have a wonderful place to hunt waterfowl I had the pleasure to hunt geese years ago off of the west Yellowstone I believe we were 35 miles away from red lodge I hope to see that place again one day
